Abstract

During 2015-2021, the total exports of soap product in PT K2 Industries Indonesia tends to decrease, only in year 2016 and 2020 there is an increasing of 2.98% and 17.56% compared to the last year’s sale. There are so many factors that can be caused of this decline. One of the biggest factors is the decline of commodities price, especially the price of palm oil. This research aims to describe the effort at PT K2 Industries Indonesia to increase the export of the products and to evaluate the challenges found in their export activities. One important factor in determining exports is ability from a country to produce goods that can compete in overseas markets. That is, the quality and price of exported goods is minimal must be as good as those traded on foreign markets. This research was conducted by using qualitative method. In this research, the object of the research is PT K2 Industries Indonesia which is located at Jln. Kosambi Perum BKP No.1 Dusun Jatirasa RT 04 Klari, Karawang. The data collection method are observation and interview. The data analysis procedures are data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The marketing strategies that have been implemented. For Malaysia, Pakistan, and Thailand market to participate in trade missions and exhibition programs and following the latest product innovation trends that are environmentally friendly. Only for Pakistan market, the other strategy is all the soap noodle product ingredients get halal certification from Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI). Some challenges found in the soap product export activities to different countries are the commodities price fluctuations and the existing of big companies as the competing company. Some recommendation for this research includes that the management of PTK2 Industries Indonesia should focus more on the implementation of the results of this research, namely the formulation of existing marketing strategies, particularlystarting from the priority strategies. / Selama tahun 2015-2021, total ekspor produksi sabun di PT Industri K2 Indonesia cenderung menurun, hanya pada tahun 2016 dan 2020 terjadi peningkatan sebesar 2,98% dan 17,56% dibandingkan penjualan tahun lalu. Banyak sekali faktor yang dapat menyebabkan penurunan tersebut. Salah satu faktor terbesar adalah penurunan harga komoditas, terutama harga minyak sawit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan upaya di PT K2 Industries Indonesia untuk meningkatkan ekspor produk dan mengevaluasi tantangan yang ditemukan dalam kegiatan ekspor mereka. Salah satu faktor penting dalam menentukan ekspor adalah kemampuan suatu negara untuk menghasilkan barang yang dapat bersaing di pasarluar negeri. Artinya, kualitas dan harga barang ekspor minimal harus sebaik yang diperdagangkan di pasar luar negeri. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Dalam penelitian ini objek penelitiannya adalah PT K2 Industries Indonesia yang beralamat di Jln. Kosambi Perum BKP No.1 Dusun Jatirasa RT 04 Klari, Karawang. Metode pengumpulan data adalah observasi dan wawancara. Prosedur analisis data adalah kondensasi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Strategi pemasaran yang telah diterapkan. Untuk pasar Malaysia, Pakistan, dan Thailand untuk mengikuti misi dagang dan program pameran serta mengikuti tren inovasi produk terbaru yang ramah lingkungan. Hanya untuk pasar Pakistan, strategi lainnya adalah semua bahan produk soap noodle mendapatkan sertifikasi halal dari Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI). Beberapa tantangan yang ditemukan dalam kegiatan ekspor produk sabun ke berbagai negara adalah fluktuasi harga komoditas dan keberadaan perusahaan besar sebagai perusahaan pesaing. Beberapa rekomendasi untuk penelitian ini antara lain manajemen PT K2 Industries Indonesia sebaiknya lebih fokus pada implementasi dari hasil penelitian ini, yaitu perumusan strategi pemasaran yang ada, khususnya dimulai dari strategi prioritas
