Abstract

Dalam mendukung kelas yang ideal, idealnya siswa harus memiliki sikap disiplin yaitu siswa mampu menaati peraturan, tertib, dan melakukan segala sesuatu yang positif selama pembelajaran. Namun berdasarkan pengamatan peneliti menemukan sebagian besar siswa tidak dapat mematuhi peraturan, siswa meninggalkan kelas tanpa izin, tidak memperhatikan guru saat mengajar dan tidak melakukan setiap intsruksi yang disampaikan oleh guru. Siswa sering bermain main sendiri, mengganggu teman, dan mengobrol dengan teman sebelahnya. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti menerapkan reward berupa stiker untuk meningkatkan disiplin siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan reward berupa stiker dapat meningkatkan disiplin siswa dan bagaimana langkah langkah reward berupa stiker yang dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa Taman Kanak-Kanak di salah satu Sekolah Kristen di Bangka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) Pelton yang dilaksanakan selama dua kali penerapan. Adapun yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah 9 siswa Taman Kanak-Kanak di salah satu Sekolah Kristen di Bangka yang terdiri dari 5 siswa laki-laki dan 4 siswa perempuan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), umpan balik mentor, jurnal refleksi, lembar observasi check list, dan lembar wawancara. Data dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif untuk lembar observasi check list dan deskriptif untuk Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), umpan balik mentor, jurnal refleksi, dan lembar wawancara. Hasil penelitian adalah indikator I: 100%, indikator II: 88% dan indikator III: 88%. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa reward berupa stiker dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa. Adapun tahapan penerapan reward berupa stiker adalah menempelkan rencana penghargaan, menjelaskan penerapan penghargaan dan menjelaskan bahwa tujuan penghargaan ini untuk siswa bukan untuk guru. /To support the ideal class to be happened, ideally the students must be discipline in applying the rules and doing every positive things during the lesson. But according to the research, researcher found that most of the students do not follow the rules, leave the class without permission, do not pay attention to teachers when they teach, and do not follow teachers’ instructions. Most of the time, the students are busy with themselves, disturbing their friends, and talking to each other during the lessons. Therefore, the researcher gave solution of applying the reward system in the class to improve students’ discipline. The purpose of this research is to know whether the reward system with stickers can develop students’ discipline and how the steps of this system can develop students discipline when it was applied in the Kindergarten in one of Christian schools in Bangka. This research used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) with Pelton model. The research was done twice. The subjects of the research are 9 students of Kindergarten in one of Christian school in Bangka which consist of 5 male students and 4 female students. The research instruments that used are lesson plan, mentor’s feedback, reflection journal, observation sheet, and interview sheet. The data is analyzed statistically and descriptively for the observation sheet and descriptively for lesson plan, mentor’s feedback, reflection journal, and interview sheet. The result is indicator 1: 100%, indicator 2: 88%, and indicator 3: 88%. According to the result, the researcher concluded that sticker as reward can develop students’ discipline. The steps of the reward system are putting the reward planning in the classroom, explaining how the reward system would work and explaining that the purpose of the reward system is for students, not teachers.
