Abstract

Hasil observasi menunjukkan hasil tes individu siswa yang telah dilaksanakan rendah dalam mata pelajaran Matematika pada materi KPK dan FPB. Solusi yang ditawarkan peneliti adalah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bahwa metode TGT dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pada materi KPK dan FPB siswa kelas IV dan mengetahui langkah langkah penerapan metode TGT untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar pada materi KPK dan FPB siswa kelas IV. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Pelton yang berlangsung selama dua penerapan. Kegiatan penelitian dilaksanakan pada kelas IV di salah satu sekolah Kristen di Manado. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 24 September 2018 - 19 Oktober 2018 dengan jumlah 20 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat pada persentase setiap indikator pada penerapan pertama 94%, 68%, dan 55%. Sedangkan pada penerapan kedua 94%, 82,5%, 72,7%. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode TGT dengan melaksanakan setiap tahapan metode yaitu penyajian kelas, belajar dalam kelompok, permainan akademik, dan penghargaan kelompok dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Peneliti kemudian menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD salah satu Sekolah Kristen di Manado dalam mata pelajaran Matematika pada materi KPK dan FPB. Kata Kunci: Model Cooperative Learning, Teams Games Tournament, Hasil Belajar Kognitif. / The observation result showed that there was a lack of students’ cognitive learning outcome in learning KPK and FPB in mathematics. The solution offered by researcher is to implement the cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament. The purpose of this study is to find out if TGT method can improve students’ cognitive learning outcome in mathematics and knowing the steps of TGT method can improve students’ cognitive learning outcome in mathematics. This research used Class Action Research (CAR) method with Pelton model which lasts for two times implementation. This research was conducted in grade IV at one of Christian schools in Manado. It started from 24th of September 2018 until 19th of October 2018 with 20 students. The findings show that the implementation of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) could improve students' cognitive learning outcome. It presents at the percentage of each indicator in the first implementation 94%, 68%, and 55%, meanwhile in the second implementation 94%, 82.5%, 72.7%. The findings also show that the implementation of each stage in TGT method that is class presentation, teams, games tournament, and team recognition can improve students' cognitive learning outcome. The researcher then concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) could improve cognitive learning outcome of grade IV students at one of Christian schools Manado in learning KPK and FPB in mathematics.
