Abstract

Learning motivation, problem-solving skills, and concept mastery need to be developed in the learning process considering those are related to students' self-potential which is relevant to industrial revolution 4.0. This study aims to determine differences in learning motivation, problem-solving skills, and concept mastery between fifth grade students who use the guided inquiry learning model and students who use the lecturing method. This research was conducted at SD XYZ Tangerang for four weeks with 29 students as the research subjects where 15 students were in the kontrol class and 14 students in the experimental class. This research was a quantitative study using the weak experiment method. The research instrumens used to obtain data are rubrics and test that have been tested for its validity and reliability. The n-gain value obtained to determine the difference between the two classes with the Mann Whitney test. The results of the learning motivation hypothesis test show asymp. sig (2-tailed) = 0.000, problem solving skills with asymp. sig (2-tailed) = 0.011, and concept mastery with asymp. sig (2-tailed) = 0.002. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that there are differences between the class at SD XYZ Tangerang that employ the guided inquiry learning model and class that employ the lecturing method in terms of learning motivation, problem-solving abilities, and concept mastery/Motivasi belajar, keterampilan pemecahan masalah, dan penguasaan konsep perlu dikembangkan dalam proses pembelajarn mengingat hal ini berkaitan dengan potensi diri siswa yang relevan dengan perkembangan zaman era revolusi industri 4.0. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan motivasi belajar, keterampilan pemecahan masalah, dan penguasaan konsep antara siswa kelas V yang menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan siswa yang menggunakan metode ceramah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD XYZ Tangerang selama empat minggu dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 29 siswa dimana 15 siswa pada kelas kontrol dan 14 siswa pada kelas eksperimen.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode poor/weak experiment. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data adalah rubrik dan soal tes yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Nilai n-gain yang diperoleh kemudian diuji untuk mengetahui perbedaan kedua kelas dengan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil uji hipotesis motivasi belajar menunjukkan peroleh asymp. sig (2-tailed) = 0.000, keterampilan pemecahan masalah dengan asymp. sig asymp. sig (2-tailed)= 0.011, dan penguasaan konsep asymp. sig (2-tailed)= 0.002. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian ini maka disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan motivasi belajar, keterampilan pemecahan masalah, dan penguasaan konsep dalam pembelajaran Matematika pada kelompok kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan kelompok kelas yang menggunakan metode ceramah di SD XYZ Tangerang.
