Abstract

Disiplin siswa merupakan ekspresi sikap kontrol diri melalui taat dan bertanggung-jawab pada instruksi yang benar. Faktanya, berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan peneliti, ditemukan siswa tidak duduk atau berbaris dengan rapi selama pelajaran, tidak menggunakan hand signal ketika meminta izin dari guru, tidak memerhatikan penjelasan guru, tidak memerhatikan teman saat bertanya atau menjawab pertanyaan guru, tidak melakukan instruksi guru, dan tidak melakukan instruksi leader. Hal ini menunjukan tingkat disiplin siswa masih kurang, sedangkan disiplin siswa merupakan hal yang penting baik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari maupun dalam proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan teori, jurnal, dan kondisi siswa, peneliti memutuskan untuk menerapkan prosedur kelas sebagai alternative solusi disiplin siswa. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah dan bagaimana prosedur kelas meningkatkan disiplin siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan Model Pelton. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 25 siswa kelas IV di salah satu SD Kristen di Cikarang. Tahapan penelitian mulai dari identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, dan penilaian hasil. Penelitian ini berlangsung dari tanggal 2 Agustus 2018 – 30 September 2018. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah RPP, umpan balik, angket siswa, lembar observasi checklist mentor dan wali kelas, dan jurnal refleksi. Hasil analisis data menunjukan indikator disiplin siswa meningkat memenuhi standar yaitu 60%. Kesimpulannya, penerapan prosedur kelas dapat meningkatkan disiplin siswa kelas IV dengan langkah-langkah, yaitu: (1) menjelaskan prosedur kelas di awal pelajaran, (2) mengulangi prosedur kelas berulang-ulang, (3) menguatkan prosedur yang ditetapkan, dan (4) konsisten dalam menerapkan prosedur kelas. / Student’s discipline is an expression of self-control through being obedient and responsible on correct instruction. This might be achieved if the condition of class is condusive and productive. In fact, based on the researcher’s observation, they were found did not sit or make line neatly along the lesson, did not use hand signal when asking teacher’s permission, did not look at the teacher’s explanation, did not look at friend when asking or answering teacher’s question, did not do teacher’s instruction, and did not do leader’s instruction. This shows the level of students’ discipline is still lacking, while students’ discipline is important both in daily life and in the learning process. Based on theories, journals, and students’ condition, researcher decided to implement classroom procedures as an alternative solution of students’ discipline. The purpose of this research is conducted to find out whether and how classroom procedures improves students’ discipline. The research method used was Pelton’s Model of Classroom Action Research. The subjects of researcher were 25 grade IV students in one of Christian Elementary Schools in Cikarang. Research steps starts from issue identification, data collection, action planning, plan activation, and outcome assessment. This research took place from August 2nd, 2018 to September 30th, 2018. The instruments used were lesson plan, mentor’s feedback, students’ questionnaire, mentor and homeroom observation sheets, and journal reflection. The results of the data analysis show discipline’s indicators increased meet the standards of discipline that is 60%. In conclusion, the implementation of classroom procedures improves grade IV student’s discipline by (1) explain classroom procedures in the beginning of the lesson, (2) repeating classroom procedures over and over, (3) rehearse procedures that set, and (4) consistent in implementing classroom procedures.
