Abstract
Tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai dengan baik ketika siswa terlibat bukan hanya secara kognitif tetapi juga secara fisik dan mental yang disebut sebagai keaktifan belajar siswa. Berdasarkan pengamatan peneliti, siswa kurang aktif selama pembelajaran dimana pada saat peneliti mengajukan pertanyaan, hanya beberapa siswa yang aktif untuk menjawab pertanyaan tersebut, siswa juga tidak melaksanakan tugas belajarnya dan tidak mengerjakan tugas dengan baik. Oleh karena itu, peneliti menggunakan media pembelajaran visual papan pola sebagai salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan media pembelajaran visual papan pola dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penggunaan media pembelajaran visual papan pola dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang peneliti gunakan adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) Robert P. Pelton. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus - 02 November 2018. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa TK B di salah satu Sekolah Kristen di Bangka sebanyak 20 siswa, yang terdiri dari 9 siswa laki-laki dan 11 siswa perempuan. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, jurnal refleksi dan umpan balik mentor. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa TK B. Media pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa yaitu media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan tujuan dan materi pembelajaran, menarik minat peserta didik, dapat membantu siswa untuk lebih mudah memahami pembelajaran, dan ukurannya sesuai dengan lingkungan belajar siswa. /Learning objectives can be achieved well when students are engaged not only cognitively, but also physically and mentally as the part of students’ activeness in learning. Based on the researcher’s observation, the students were less active during the learning process, proved by the fact that only a few students were active in answering the questions given by the teacher and they did not work on their assignments properly. Therefore, the researcher used pattern board visual learning media to improve students’ activeness in learning. The purpose of this study were to improve students’ activeness in learning by using pattern board visual learning media and to find out how it works. This research was used Class Action Research (CAR) by Robert P. Pelton. It was conducted using two cycles on August - November 2, 2018. The participants were 20 kindergarten B students in one of the Christian Schools in Bangka, consist of 9 male students and 11 female students. The instruments used were observation sheets, lesson plans, journal reflections, and mentor’s feedback. Based on the results of the study, the researcher concluded that the using of learning media can improve students’ activeness in learning for kindergarten B students. The learning media which can increase students’ activeness in learning is the learning media which are fit with the learning objectives and materials, attract students' interest, help students to understand the learning easier, and the size is proper with the students’ learning environments.
