Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas V SDKKK Kosambi Jakarta Barat pada pelajaran IPS dengan subjek penelitian, yaitu siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 29 siswa. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa keaktifan belajar siswa masih kurang. Hal ini disebabkan karena metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan mengkondisikan siswa hanya menerima pembelajaran atau materi dari guru tanpa membuat siswa terlibat aktif di dalam aktivitas-aktivitas pembelajaran di kelas, sehingga membuat siswa tidak dapat mencapai tujuan dari belajar dengan maksimal. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti memutuskan untuk menerapkan metode team quiz dalam mengatasi permasalahan ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya peningkatan keaktifan belajar siswa dengan menerapkan metode team quiz. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menjelaskan langkah-langkah penerapan metode team quiz untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas menurut Pelton. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data adalah RPP peneliti, umpan balik mentor, jurnal refleksi peneliti, dan lembar observasi keaktifan belajar siswa. Keseluruhan data instrumen tersebut menunjukkan hasil bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran team quiz dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa kelas V SDKKK Kosambi Jakarta Barat pada mata pelajaran IPS. /This research was conducted for grade V students in SDKKK Kosambi West Jakarta by learning social science, and the subject was grade V students, in total 29 students. In this study, the problem was found that students’ learning activeness was still lack. It is so because the learning methods applied were forced students to only receive the learning process or materials from the teacher without making students actively involved in learning activities in the classroom, thus the students did not achieve the learning process maximally. Therefore, the researcher decided to apply the team quiz method to overcome this problem. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an increase in student learning activeness by applying the team quiz method. In addition, this study also aims to explain the steps to implement the team quiz method to improve students’ activeness. The research method used in this study was classroom action research by Pelton. The instruments used in collecting data are researcher lesson plan, mentor feedback, reflection journal, and observation sheet for student’ activeness. The data of the instruments showed the results that the application of the team quiz learning method can increase the learning activeness of the fifth grade students of SDKKK Kosambi West Jakarta in social science subjects.
