Abstract

Hasil belajar kognitif merupakan masalah utama yang terjadi pada siswa kelas XI di salah satu sekolah di Makassar pada mata pelajaran Matematika. Masalah hasil belajar kognitif ditunjukkan pada hasil tes kognitif siswa dengan persentase kelulusan siswa yang mencapai nilai KKM sebesar 30,76%. Penelitian ini bertujuan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif team assisted individualization (TAI) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dan melihat bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif team assisted individualization (TAI) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas XI. Model penelitian tindakan kelas yang digunakan adalah model Pelton yang dilakukan selama dua kali penerapan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 19 Agustus 2018 hingga 29 Oktober 2018. Sumber data yang digunakan untuk mengukur pelaksanaan model pembelajaran kooperatif team assisted individualization (TAI) yaitu lembar observasi, umpan balik mentor, dan jurnal refleksi. Sedangkan sumber data yang digunakan untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa adalah hasil tes dan jurnal refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif team assisted individualization (TAI) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada penerapan pertama dengan persentase kelulusan mencapai KKM sebesar 69,23% dan penerapan kedua sebesar 84,61%. Peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa terjadi melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif team assisted individualization (TAI) dengan tahapan-tahapan sebagai berikut: 1) tes penempatan, 2) membentuk kelompok heterogen, 3) memberikan bahan ajar, 4) belajar dalam kelompok, 5) kelompok Pengajaran, 6) penilaian dan penghargaan kelompok, 7) tes Formatif, dan 8) informasi materi esensial. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa./ Cognitive learning outcomes are the main problems that occur in class XI students in one of the schools at Makassar on Mathematics. The problem of cognitive learning outcomes is shown in the results of student’s cognitive tests with the percentage of student graduation that reaches the KKM value of 30,76%. The study aims to apply the cooperative learning model of team assisted individualization (TAI) to improve students cognitive learning outcomes and saw how the application of the cooperative learning model team assisted individualization (TAI) can improve the cognitive learning outcomes of class XI students. The Classroom Action Research method (PTK) used is the Pelton model which was conducted twice. The study was conducted on August 19, 2018 until October 29, 2018. Data sources were used to measure the implementation of cooperative learning models assisted individualization (TAI) teams named observation sheets, mentor feedback, and reflection journal. While the data sources used to measure student learning outcomes are test results and reflection journal. The results showed that the cooperative learning model assisted individualization team (TAI) could improve student’s cognitive learning outcomes in the first application with a percentage of graduation reaching KKM of 69.23% and a second application of 84.61%. Improvement of student cognitive learning outcomes occurs through the application of cooperative learning models assisted individualization team (TAI) with the following stages: 1) placement test, 2) teams, 3) materials, 4) team study, 5) teaching group, 6) team scorer and team recognition, 7) fact test, and 8) whole-class units. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning models can improve students' cognitive learning outcomes.
