Abstract

Berdasarkan pengamatan yang dilakukan pada siswa kelas X di sekolah ABC Ambon, didapati bahwa siswa tidak aktif selama proses pembelajaran. Hal ini dikarenakan siswa terbiasa untuk pasif dengan hanya mendengarkan penjelasan dari guru dan mengerjakan tugas yang diberikan. Oleh sebab itu, siswa membutuhkan sebuah strategi pembelajaran yang dapat mendorongnya terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan permasalahan ini, peneliti merencanakan untuk menggunakan sebuah strategi pembelajaran aktif. Strategi pembelajaran aktif yang digunakan adalah Learning Start with a Question. Tujuan penggunaan Learning Start with a Question adalah untuk melihat peningkatan keaktifan siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilakukan sejak 2 September sampai dengan 21 Otober 2015. Penelitian ini melibatkan 26 siswa dengan pelaksanaan sebanyak dua siklus. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan, yaitu: angket siswa, lembar observasi siswa, lembar observasi guru, wawancara tertutup kepada siswa, dan wawancara mentor. Analisis instrumen ini menggunakan teknik analisis secara kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan jika penggunaan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe Learning Start with a Question dapat meningkatkan keaktifan siswa. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari ketercapaian indikator pada setiap siklusnya. Penerapan strategi ini mampu meningkatkan keaktifan siswa apabila dalam penerapannya sesuai dengan langkah-langkah yang telah ditentukan. / According to the observation that done with student in grade ten at ABC School in Ambon, was found that the student was not active while the learning process is ongoing. This is happen because the student used to only hear the explanation from the teacher and do the exercise that is given to them. That‟s why the student need a learning strategies that can help them to actively involved in learning process. Based on this problem, researcher plan to use an active learning strategies. The method that is used is Learning Start with a Question. The purpose of using Learning Start with a Question is to look at student development in activeness. The method that is used in research is Class Action Research (CAR). This research done from 2 September until 21 October 2015. This research involved 26 students with implementation as much as 2 cycles. The instrument that is used is : student questionnaire, observation sheet of students, observation sheet of strategy implementation, close interview to students, interview for mentor. This analytical instruments use qualitative analysis techniques. Based on the research result, can be conclude that using Learning Start with a Question method can increasing students activeness in class. This can be seen when the student achieve all the indicator in every cycles. Application of this strategies can develop students activeness in class if in the application process in accordance with the steps that have been set.
