Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi teknik variasi yang dilakukan oleh Bill Evans pada improvisasi lagu "Tenderly" yang terdapat di dalam album "Everybody Digs Bill Evans". Objek penelitian ini adalah permainan improvisasi solo piano Bill Evans. Hasil penelitian diperoleh dari menganalisis teknik pengembangan motif yang digunakan dalam improvisasi solo piano. Adapun pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Sehingga dari analisis tersebut, kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah bentuk implementasi teknik variasi pada improvisasi solo Bill Evans.
