Abstract

Seorang guru Kristen memandang siswa sebagai pribadi yang utuh dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini berarti ada tanggung jawab guru dan siswa untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang efektif. Namun, realita yang terjadi dalam pembelajaran Biblical Studies adalah siswa tidak berpartisipasi dalam pembelajaran karena tidak tertarik dengan pembelajaran. Siswa juga dalam tahap perkembangan konkret sedangkan media pembelajaran untuk mengakomodir kebutuhan belajar siswa sangat terbatas. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut, peneliti menggunakan alat peraga untuk meningkatkan partisipasi belajar siswa secara aktif pada pelajaran Biblical Studies. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV B sebanyak 24 siswa. Penelitian berlangsung pada 29 Oktober 2015-12 Nopember 2015 dengan tiga kali siklus. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi terbuka melalui umpan balik RPP, lembar observasi checklist penggunaan alat peraga dan partisipasi aktif belajar, lembar wawancara, dan jurnal refleksi peneliti. Dalam menganalisis instrumen tersebut, peneliti menggunakan teknik analisis secara kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah alat peraga dapat meningkatkan partisipasi aktif belajar siswa karena alat peraga dapat menarik perhatian siswa, membantu pembelajaran menjadi efektif dan efisien serta mengandung unsur kepraktisan. Partisipasi belajar siswa ditunjukkan dengan keikutsertaan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Siswa juga memiliki keingintahuan dalam belajar, menanyakan materi serta dapat menyimpulkan materi pembelajaran./ A Christian teacher acknowledge student as a holistic person in learning. It means teacher and students has responsibility to create effective learning. however in reality, during Biblical Studies learning researcher observed that students did not participate because they are not interested in learning. Students were also in the stage of development of the concrete while learning media to accommodate the learning needs of students was very limited. Based on these problems, researcher is using of the teaching aids to improve students’active participation learning in Biblical Studies. The research method that was used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is Kemmis and Taggart model. This research involved 24 students. This research was conducted on October 29th, 2015 until November 12nd, 2015 and there were three cycles. The instruments used were feedback of RPP, checklist observation sheets, questionnaire sheet and researcher’s journal reflection. The researcher used qualitative analysis technique to analyze the data from the instruments. The results of this research is teaching aids improved students’ active participation learning as it is able to attract students’ attention, help the effectiveness and efficiency of the learning, and has the practical’s value. Student’s learning participation demonstrated by the involvement of students in learning. Students also have the curiosity to learn, inquire materials and conclude the learning materials.
