Abstract

Penelitian ini membuat formulasi menggunakan bahan alam yaitu campuran ekstrak daun zaitun dan cladodes kaktus sebagai pengobatan alternatif yang secara klinis dapat menurunkan gejala gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) dengan dosis 400 mg per hari dalam bentuk sediaan orodispersible tablets (ODTs). Kendala yang dimiliki dalam formulasi adalah rasa pahit dari ekstrak, maka penelitian ini memiliki latar belakang dan tujuan untuk menutupi rasa pahit ekstrak dalam ODTs menggunakan dua jenis eksipien, yaitu stevia dan siklodekstrin dalam bentuk beta dan hidroksipropil beta siklodekstrin. Hasil uji in-vitro waktu disintegrasi F4 sebagai formula final yaitu 2,52 menit yang mana termasuk dalam rentang waktu larut ODTs. Hasil pengujian organoleptik pada uji statistik Kruskal-Wallis dan Mann-Whitney dengan dua puluh data menghasilkan perbedaan signifikan antar formula pada nilai mean 7,95 ± 0,945 untuk F4, 5,30 ± 1,720 untuk F1, 5,55 ± 1,701 untuk F2, dan 5,70 ± 2,130 untuk F3 pada uji tingkat keberterimaan rasa pahit, kemudian pada uji intensitas rasa manis dengan nilai mean 2,55 ± 1,234 untuk F1, 5,85 ± 1,137 untuk F2, 4,80 ± 1,542 untuk F3, dan 7,35 ± 0,988 untuk F4./This study made a formulation using natural ingredients, namely a mixture of cactus cladodes extract and olive leaf as an alternative treatment that can clinically reduce symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) at a dose of 400 mg per day in the form of orodispersible tablets (ODTs). The obstacle in the formulation is the bitter taste of the extract, so this research has the background and aim to cover the bitter taste of the extract in ODTs using two types of excipients, namely stevia and cyclodextrin in the form of beta and hydroxypropyl beta cyclodextrin. The in-vitro test results showed that the disintegration time of F4 as the final formula was 2.52 minutes, which was included in the dissolving time range for ODTs. The results of the organoleptic test on the Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney statistical tests with twenty data yielded significant differences between formulas at a mean value of 7.95 ± 0.945 for F4, 5.30 ± 1.720 for F1, 5.55 ± 1.701 for F2, and 5.70 ± 2.130 for F3 on the bitter taste acceptance level test, then on the sweet taste intensity test with a mean value of 2.55 ± 1.234 for F1, 5.85 ± 1.137 for F2, 4.80 ± 1.542 for F3, and 7, 35 ± 0.988 for F4.
