Abstract

Monopoly Deal is a card game that derived directly from the traditional Monopoly Game. Not many people know about this game compared with the traditional Monopoly. Traditional Monopoly aims to bankrupt the other players. However, Monopoly Deal aims to collect three different sets of property cards. This game is hardly developed on the computer game, whereas the traditional game has lots of modification on the game. Based on this reason, this research is conducted to show developers the potential for further developing this simulation game. Monopoly Deal Game is developed by the Adobe Flash and ActionScript 3.0 as the game engine. All the rules and strategies of the game are designed at the beginning of the development. The analysis continues with the designing of the program that implements breadth first search method. After that it followed by the creation of the graphics, the animation and the programming. The final step ends with the implementation of the whole design together with the evaluation of the system to check whether the game worked as expected. The implementation of the system consists of interface menu, card lists, check value system, and artificial intelligence. The test of the application is done through system testing. The combination of the aggressive character and the logical asset results the best during the test with percentage of 45%. To conclude, the game application of Monopoly Deal has been succeed on implementing breadth first search algorithm in Adobe Flash and Actionscript 3.0.
