Ruang multisensori digunakan untuk mendukung fungsi kognitif lansia, ruang multisensori adalah ruang yang menggunakan visual, suara, dan tekstur. Namun, untuk lansia, salah satu masalah yang sering muncul adalah berkurangnya kemampuan fisik, sehingga aktivitas yang dapat mereka lakukan ikut berkurang. Maka dari itu ruangan virtual ini dibuat untuk membantu Lansia dalam melatih fungsi kognitif secara virtual karena terbatasnya kemampuan fisik yang bisa mereka lakukan secara nyata. Dengan VR (Virtual Reality) keterbatasan fisik yang dialami dapat dibantu dengan melakukan kegiatan secara leluasa di ruang virtual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain ruang multisensori berbasis virtual yang dapat mendukung fungsi kognitif. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan studi literatur untuk mengetahui fungsi kognitif lansia, cara melatih kemampuan kognitif lansia, selain itu definisi mengenai ruang multisensori, multisensori arsitektur, kriteria ruang sensori, kegunaan dan potensi virtual reality, dan strategi ruang multisensori dalam dunia virtual. Lalu wawancara dilakukan kepada responden untuk mengetahui kegiatan yang dilakukan dan masalah kognitif yang mereka alami. Eksperimen teknis dilakukan menggunakan software Unity 3D untuk mengetahui strategi desain dan potensi ruang multisensori dalam dunia virtual. Hasil penelitian ini menciptakan prototipe ruang multisensori virtual yang dapat digunakan oleh lansia untuk membantu lansia dalam melatih kemampuan kognitif dalam ruang virtual. / As people age, the quality of life for the elderly diminishes in terms of physical, psychological, and social aspects. One of the most influential factors contributing to this decline is the deterioration of cognitive function. Multisensori rooms are used to support the cognitive function of the elderly. These rooms utilize visual, auditory, and textural elements. However, one common issue faced by the elderly is the decline in physical abilities, which also leads to a reduction in the activities they can participate in. Therefore, virtual rooms are created to assist the elderly in training their cognitive function virtually due to the limitations of their physical abilities. With virtual reality (VR), the physical limitations experienced can be overcome by engaging in activities freely within the virtual space. The objective of this research is to design a virtual multisensory room that can support cognitive functions. The research methodology involves a literature review to understand the cognitive function of the elderly, methods for training their cognitive abilities, as well as the definition of multisensory rooms, multisensory architecture, criteria for sensory rooms, the utility and potential of virtual reality, and strategies for multisensory spaces in the virtual world. Interviews are conducted with respondents to determine the activities they engage in and the cognitive issues they experience. Technical experiments are performed using Unity 3D software to explore design strategies and the potential of multisensory spaces in the virtual world. The research results in the creation of a prototype virtual multisensory room that can be used by the elderly to assist them in training their cognitive abilities within a virtual environment.
