Abstract

Oriental Spa Chatswood merupakan sebuah spa center yang memiliki tujuan agar pengunjung dapat merelaksasikan diri mereka dari tekanan stress di wilayah perkotaan. Dengan mengunjungi sebuah spa center, pengunjung dapat beristirahat sejenak dari rutinitas kehidupan sehari – hari mereka yang padat. Hal ini selaras dengan kondisi di wilayah perkotaan Jakarta, dimana memiliki tekanan sosial yang tinggi yang berdampak pada meningkatnya tingkat stres di kota Jakarta. Tingginya tingkat stres ini dapat berdampak buruk bagi kesehatan mental manusia yang akan berimbas pada kehidupan mereka, oleh karena itu maka perancangan ini memiliki tujuan untuk dapat menurunkan tingkat stres pengunjung dengan menggunakan pendekatan multisensori yang memiliki manfaat relaksasi yang bermanfaat untuk menurunkan tingkat stres manusia pada tingkatan rendah. Perancangan ini juga ditujukan untuk dapat memenuhi tujuan dari brand dan memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat khususnya masyarakat di perkotaan Jakarta. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan multisensori digunakan dalam perancangan ini, dimana dengan adanya pendekatan multisensori, maka dapat mengaktifkan berbagai indera untuk dapat memanjakan indera manusia dengan menciptakan sebuah pengalaman ruang yang menyenangkan bagi pengunjung. Konsep perancangan mengangkat konsep tropical yang terinspirasi dari treatment yang disediakan dan slogan brand yaitu ‘Tropical day spa experience’. Di dalam spa terdapat lima belas ruangan, dimana delapan diantaranya merupakan ruang spa dan treatment. Terdapat empat ruang yang di desain khusus yaitu area receptionist, lounge, single room spa with bathtub, dan couple room spa with bathtub. Pada masing – masing ruangan ini, indera pengunjung akan diaktifkan dengan adanya berbagai fasilitas sensori yang disediakan untuk dapat menunjang keseluruhan pengalaman multisensori pengunjung./Oriental Spa Chatswood is a spa center whose goal is for visitors to relax themselves from the stress of urban areas. By visiting a spa center, visitors can take a break from their busy daily life routine. This is in line with conditions in the urban area of Jakarta, which has high social pressure which has an impact on increasing stress levels in the city of Jakarta. This high level of stress can have a negative impact on human mental health which will have negative impact on their lives, therefore this design has the aim of reducing the stress level of visitors by using a multisensory design approach which has the benefits of relaxation which is useful for reducing human stress levels at low levels. This design is also intended to be able to fulfill the goals of the brand and meet the needs of the community, especially people in Jakarta. Therefore, a multisensory approach is used in this design, where with a multisensory approach, it can activate various senses to be able to indulge the human senses by creating a pleasant space experience for visitors. The design concept adopts a tropical concept inspired by the treatment provided and the brand slogan, namely 'Tropical day spa experience'. Inside the spa there are fifteen rooms, eight of which are spa and treatment rooms. There are four specially designed rooms, namely the receptionist area, lounge, single room spa with bathtub, and couple room spa with bathtub. In each of these rooms, the visitor's senses will be activated by the various sensory facilities provided to support the overall multisensory experience of visitors.
