Abstract

Seiring berjalannya waktu, manusia terus bertambah usia. Bertambahnya usia ini juga berpengaruh pada fungsi kognitif manusia, ketika menginjak usia 60 tahun keatas fungsi kognitif manusia akan semakin menurun sehingga dapat mempengaruhi manusia berusia 60 tahun keatas atau lansia ketika melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari. Dalam membantu mempertahankan fungsi kognitif lansia, dibutuhkan pelatihan memori yang melibatkan indera lansia berbasis kegiatan yang dapat membantu lansia dalam mengingat yaitu membersihkan ruangan atau merapikan barang. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti berupaya untuk membantu lansia dalam proses pelatihan memori melalui neuro-architecture dan virtual reality. Keduanya bertujuan untuk menciptakan ruang virtual yang didalamnya terdapat aspek temperature, lighting¸plants, colours, dan scents yang mendukung emotions dan well-being lansia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur: untuk mengetahui konsep dan cara kerja memori jangka pendek dan sensori ;untuk mengetahui konsep ruang neuro-architecture; dan untuk memahami batasan dalam perancangan ruang virtual. Data pada penelitian ini diambil melalui survey terhadap subjek penelitian yaitu lansia pada 2 kelompok lansia yang berbeda untuk mengetahui kegiatan yang sering dilakukan oleh lansia. Metode penelitian ini membantu peneliti untuk menghasilkan ruang virtual yang didukung oleh aspek neuro-architecture. Peneliti melakukan 2 eksperimentasi desain selama proses desain untuk menemukan hasil desain ruang virtual yang memenuhi kebutuhan lansia dalam melakukan kegiatan. Lewat hasil desain yang bertema “theatre of time” peneliti dapat menyimpulkan bahwa konsep 3 latar tempat yang berbeda secara timeline waktu dapat membuat lansia meningkatkan emotions yang berbeda pada tiap ruang./As time goes by, humans continue to age. Increasing age also affects human cognitive function, when stepping on the age of 60 years and above human cognitive function will decrease so that it can affect humans aged 60 years and over or the elderly when carrying out daily activities. In helping to maintain the cognitive function of the elderly, memory training is needed that involves the senses of the elderly based on activities that can help the elderly in remembering, namely cleaning the room or tidying up things. In this study, researchers sought to help the elderly in the process of memory training through neuro-architecture and virtual reality. Both aim to create a virtual space in which there are aspects of temperature, lighting ̧plants, colors, and scents that support the emotions and well-being of the elderly. This research uses literature study methods: to know the concept and workings of short-term and sensory memory; to know the concept of neuro-architecture space; and to understand the limitations in the design of virtual space. The data in this study was taken through a survey of research subjects, namely the elderly in 2 different elderly groups to find out the activities that are often carried out by the elderly. This research method helps researchers to produce virtual spaces supported by neuro-architecture aspects. Researchers conducted 2 design experiments during the design process to find the results of virtual space design that meet the needs of the elderly in carrying out activities. Through the design results with the theme "theater of time", researchers can conclude that the concept of 3 different place settings in a timeline of time can make the elderly increase different emotions in each space.
