Abstract

Hampir sebagian besar anak-anak di seluruh dunia sekolah di lingkungan perkotaan. Indonesia pun termasuk salah satunya, di mana survei rata-rata siswa sekolah dasar di perkotaan sebesar 9,95 sedangkan di pedesaan sebesar 7,88. Hal ini disebabkan banyaknya orang yang memutuskan pindah ke perkotaan untuk menempuh pendidikan. Kemajuan pendidikan di perkotaan dinilai berkembang lebih pesat. Semakin hari tingkat populasi penduduk di perkotaan terus meningkat dan menyebabkan kepadatan. Kepadatan ini banyak memberikan dampak yang buruk terutama pada polusi. Kurangnya area hijau membuat polusi yang ada semakin menurunkan kualitas udara di perkotaan. Salah satunya adalah kota Tangerang. Lembaga data kualitas udara (IQ Air) mencatat kualitas udara kota Tangerang mencapai indeks 164, di mana indeks ini sudah menempati kota Tangerang sebagai peringkat pertama kota dengan kualitas terburuk. Hal ini tentunya berdampak pada masyarakat kota Tangerang, salah satunya adalah Sekolah Dasar Fellycia. Sekolah Dasar Fellycia merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan yang berada di tengah perkotaan Tangerang. Tentunya permasalahan akan kualitas lingkungan kota Tangerang berpengaruh besar pada sekolah. Anak-anak menjadi lebih cepat stres dan menimbulkan efek samping pada kesehatan. Padahal sebenarnya sekolah memiliki karakter, yaitu mengajarkan para siswa untuk merawat dan menjaga alam. Namun, sayangnya karakter ini belum diterapkan sepenuhnya karena fasilitas yang belum memadai serta lahan tanam yang minim di lingkungan sekolah. Dalam perancangan Sekolah Dasar Fellycia akan menggunakan pendekatan biophilic design dengan tujuan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang ada. Memberikan konektivitas kepada alam mampu meningkatkan aspek mental dan fisik bagi pengguna sekolah. Selain itu, penggunaan pendekatan ini tentunya mampu mendorong karakter sekolah semakin maksimal. Alam akan menjadi media pembelajaran yang baik bagi para siswa untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran bagaimana cara memperlakukan alam yang baik. / Most of the children around the world go to school in urban areas. Indonesia is also one of them, where the average survey of elementary school students in urban areas is 9.95 while in rural areas it is 7.88. This is due to the large number of people who decide to move to urban areas to pursue education. The progress of education in urban areas is considered to be developing more rapidly. Increasingly the level of population in urban areas continues to increase and causes density. This density has a lot of bad effects, especially on pollution. The lack of green areas makes the existing pollution further reduce air quality in cities. One of them is the city of Tangerang. The air quality data institute (IQ Air) records that the air quality of the city of Tangerang has reached an index of 164, where this index has ranked the city of Tangerang as the first rank for the city with the worst quality. This certainly has an impact on the people of the city of Tangerang, one of which is Fellycia Elementary School. Fellycia Elementary School is an educational institution located in the middle of the Tangerang city. Of course, the problem of environmental quality in the city of Tangerang has a big impact on Fellycia school. Children become stresed more quickly and cause side effects on health. When in fact the school has a character, which teaches students to care for and protecting nature. But unfortunately this character has not been fully implemented because of inadequate facilities and minimal planting land in the school environment. In planning Fellycia Elementary School will use a biophilic design approach with the aim of solving existing problems. Providing connectivity to nature can improve the mental and physical aspects of school users. In addition, the use of this approach is certainly able to maximize the character of the school. Nature will be a good media for students to raise awareness of how to treat nature well.
