Abstract

Keadaan panti jompo di Indonesia pada saat ini terlihat kurang baik dari segi lingkungan dan fasilitas yang diberikan. Salah satu panti jompo dengan kondisi yang kurang baik adalah Panti Werdha Kasih Ayah Bunda yang berlokasi di Tangerang, Banten. Untuk mehadirkan suasana lingkungan yang baik untuk Panti Jompo dapat diterapkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Green Design. Dengan menghadirkan pendekatan green design di Panti Jompo ini diharapkan menghasilkan suasana lingkungan Panti Jompo yang lebih baik dan dapat berpengaruh baik bagi para lansia. Dalam penerapan aspek green design yang dapat diterapkan pada bangunan Panti Jompo ini untuk memperbaiki kondisi eksisting adalah dengan memaksimalkan sistem pencahayaan dan penghawaan ruang agar aktivitas lansia dapat dilaksanakan dengan lebih aman dan nyaman. Tidak hanya dengan pendekatan green design saja, akan tetapi pendekatan yang dapat diterapkan berikutnya adalah memperhatikan tingkat ergonomi ruang dan furnitur yang akan digunakan oleh lansia dan pengurus Panti Jompo. Aspek ergonomi ini dapat dilakukan dengan memperhatikan alur sirkulasi aktivitas yang akan dilalui oleh lansia, hal ini untuk memaksimalkan tata letak ruang. Aspek ergonomi yang harus diperhatikan selanjutnya adalah dari sisi penggunaan furnitur dan tata letak furnitur. Dengan kombinasi kedua aspek antara green design dan aspek ergonomi diharapkan Panti Werdha Kasih Ayah Bunda akan terlihat lebih baik, aman dan nyaman untuk para lansia dan pengurus Panti. / The current state of nurshing homes in Indonesia looks unfavorablein terms of the environment and the facilities provided. One of the nurshing homes with unfavorable conditions is the Nursing Home Kasih Ayah Bunda, located in Tangerang, Banten. To present a good environmental atmosphere for the Nursing Home, it can be implemented using the Green Design approach. By presenting a green design approach at the Nursing Home, it is hoped that it will produce a better atmosphere for the Nursing Home environment and can have a positive effect on the elderly. In implementing the green design aspects that can be applied to the Nursing Home building, to improve the existing conditions is to maximize the lighting and ventilation systems so that the activities of the elderly can be carried out more safely and comfortably. Not only with the green design approach, but the next approach that can be applied to pay attention to the level of room ergonomics and furniture that will be used by elderly and caretakers of the Nursing Home. This ergonomic aspect can be carried out by paying attention to the circulation flow of activities that will be conducted by the elderly. This is to maximize the layout of the room. Aspects that must be considered next are the use of furniture and the layout of the furniture. With the combination of the two aspects of green design and ergonomics, it is hoped that the Nursing Home will look better, safer and more comfortable for the elderly and caretakers of the orphanage.
