Abstract

Latar Belakang: Dysbiosis pada flora kulit akan menimbulkan berbagai masalah kesehatan kulit. Oleh sebab itu, mencuci tangan menjadi cara untuk membuang bakteri patogen dari tangan. Penelitian yang sudah ada menunjukkan mencuci tangan mengurangi jumlah bakteri, tetapi studi mengenai flora normal belum banyak dilakukan. Tujuan: Mengetahui perubahan jumlah flora normal kulit pada telapak tangan setelah dicuci dengan sabun cair antiseptik dibandingkan dengan hand sanitizer. Metode: Penelitian akan dilakukan secara eksperimental pada 30 mahasiswa FK UPH. Hasil biakan bakteri dari tangan sebelum dan sesudah pencucian dengan hand sanitizer dan sabun antiseptik pada agar darah dilanjutkan dengan pemeriksaan gram. Penelitian ini merupakan studi analitik komparatif numerik 2 kategori berpasangan dan tidak berpasangan. Hasil: Data jumlah flora normal tidak berdistribusi normal (p<0,05). Uji Wilcoxon antara sebelum perlakuan dan setelah perlakuan menunjukkan hasil sangat signifikan pada sebagian besar kelompok bakteri (p<0,01), kecuali basil spore forming. Uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan hasil signifikan antara sabun cair antiseptik dan hand sanitizer pada kelompok bakteri staphylococcus, streptococcus, coccus, diplococcus, basil Gram-positif, dan basil Gram negatif (p<0,05). Kelompok tetrad dan basil spore forming menunjukkan hasil tidak signifikan setelah dicuci dengan sabun cair antiseptik maupun hand sanitizer (p>0,05). Kesimpulan: Jumlah flora normal lebih rendah setelah dicuci sabun antiseptik dan hand sanitizer. Jumlah flora normal pada penggunaan sabun antiseptik lebih rendah untuk bakteri basil Gram-positif dan Gram-negatif dibandingkan hand sanitizer. / Background: Dysbiosis in skin flora will cause various skin health problems. Therefore, washing hands is a way to get rid of pathogenic bacteria from hands. Existing research shows that hand washing reduces bacterial counts, but studies of the normal flora have been scanty. Objective: To determine changes in the number of normal skin flora on the palms of the hands after washing with an antiseptic soap compared to hand sanitizers. Methods: The research will be conducted experimentally on 30 students from UPH Faculty of Medicine. Bacterial culture results from hands before and after washing with hand sanitizer and antiseptic soap on blood agar followed by gram examination. This research is a comparative numerical analytic study with 2 paired and unpaired categories. Results: Data on the number of normal flora is not normally distributed (p<0.05). The Wilcoxon test between before and after washing hands showed highly significant results in most groups of bacteria (p<0.01), except for spore forming bacilli. The Mann-Whitney test showed significant results between antiseptic liquid soap and hand sanitizer in the staphylococcus, streptococcus, coccus, diplococcus, Gram-positive bacilli and Gram-negative bacilli groups (p<0.05). The tetrad and spore forming bacillus groups showed no significant results after being washed with antiseptic liquid soap or hand sanitizer (p>0.05). Conclusion: The number of normal flora is lower after it is washed with antiseptic soap and hand sanitizer. The number of normal flora in the usage of antiseptic soap was lower for Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacilli than hand sanitizer.
