Abstract

Mal Pacific Place merupakan salah satu bangunan mal yang berdiri di kawasan elit SCBD, yang di kawasan sekitar SCBD ini terdapat banyak gedung - gedung perkantoran, museum, stadion, dan lain-lain. Kawasan SCBD berdiri sejak tahun 1987, di atas lahan seluas 45 hektar. Kawasan ini yang dulunya kumuh diubah menjadi kawasan elite dan modern di jantung segitiga emas kota Jakarta. Mal Pacific Place dibangun awal sejak tahun 2005 dan resmi dibuka pada tanggal 26 November 2007. Mal ini memiliki banyak fasilitas mulai dari hiburan seperti bioskop, Kidzania, food court, department Store, Gedung perkantoran, dan Menara the Ritz Carlton Hotel yang merupakan satu - satunya hotel yang terletak di Pacific Place. Fasilitas akan dibahas lebih lanjut yaitu food court yang berada dimal Pacific Place. Desain yang ada pada bagian food court sangat umum seperti layaknya food court di mal-mal yang ada pada kota Jakarta, padahal berpotensi untuk dimanfaatkan dengan maksimal karena letaknya yang strategis pada daerah elite perkantoran dan jantung kota Jakarta SCBD. Area food court mal Pacific Place ini sangat berpotensi untuk dapat dijadikan suatu tempat untuk menampilkan food court yang sedikit bernuansa Jawa Tengah, nuansa Jawa Tengah dikenalkan kepada tamu lokal dari dalam negeri maupun ekspatriat dari mancanegara yang berbisnis di lingkungan SCBD, sehingga nuansa Jawa Tengah ini dapat diperlihatkan ke masyarakat luas. Pendekatan desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian proyek Tugas Akhir ini yaitu menggunakan pendekatan humaniora yang menyinggung sebagian aspek perilaku manusia dan karakteristiknya sebagai bahan pertimbangan desain. Humaniora adalah cabang studi yang mengacu pada ilmu kemanusiaan dan masyarakat dari perspektif kritis. Berpengaruh kepada kebudayaan yang mengutamakan pertimbangan manusia pada daerah lingkungan sekitar,pembahasan terkait kepada manusianya. “Human centered Design” digunakan sebagai pendekatan yang menjawab rumusan masalah pada suatu ruangan interior food court. / Pacific Place Mall is one of the mall buildings that stands in the elite area of SCBD, where there are many office buildings, museums, stadiums, and others. The SCBD area was established from 1987 – 1992, on an area of 45 hectares. This area, which was once a slum, has been transformed into an elite and modern area in the heart of the golden triangle of Jakarta. Pacific Place Mall was built early in 2005 and officially opened on November 26, 2007. This mall has many facilities ranging from entertainment such as cinemas, Kidzania, food courts, department stores, office buildings, and The Ritz Carlton Hotel Tower which is the only one hotel located in Pacific Place. Facilities will be discussed further, namely the food court in Pacific Place mall. The design in the food court section is very common like food courts in malls in the city of Jakarta, even though it has the potential to be utilized to the fullest because of its strategic location in the elite office area and the heart of Jakarta SCBD. The Pacific Place mall food court area has the potential to be used as a place to display a food court with a slightly Central Javanese nuance, Central Javanese nuances are introduced to local guests from within the country as well as expatriates from abroad who do business in the SCBD environment, so that this Central Javanese nuance can be shown to the public. The design approach used in the research of this final project project is to use a humanities approach that alludes to some aspects of human behavior and their characteristics as design considerations. Humanities is a branch of study that refers to the sciences of humanity and society from a critical perspective. Influence on culture that prioritizes human considerations in the surrounding environment, the discussion is related to the humans. "Human centered Design" is used as an approach that answers the problem formulation in a food court interior space.
