Abstract

Beragamnya budaya bangsa Indonesia menjadi nilai tambah yang dapat digunakan untuk menunjang kegiatan ekonomi kreatif. Seperti Oniete, salah satu pelaku usaha yang memanfaatkan kain Nusantara dalam pembuatan produk berupa tas etnik dan berhasil mendapat posisi tersendiri di masyarakat. Oniete yang juga mencoba untuk menjual produk hingga ke luar negeri perlu mempertajam identitas, terutama dari sisi visual. Logo yang digunakan saat ini belum mencerminkan nilai dan karakter yang diinginkan yaitu premium, etnik, dan eksentrik. Untuk itu, penulis menggunakan teori desain mengenai definisi dan komponen identitas visual dalam perancangan ulang identitas visual Oniete. Proses dimulai dari identifikasi masalah, selanjutnya dilakukan analisa dengan mewawancarai founder, perbandingan identitas visual dengan beberapa brand kompetitor, untuk kemudian dilakukan proses kreatif. Pada akhirnya, studi ini menjawab kebutuhan perancangan identitas visual Oniete dengan elemen warna, tipografi, pattern, yang selanjutnya diaplikasikan di berbagai media./The diversity of Indonesian culture is an added value that can be used to support creative economic activities. Like Oniete, one of the business actors who utilizes Indonesian fabrics in making products in the form of ethnic bags and has succeeded in gaining a separate position in society. Oniete who is also trying to sell products abroad, needs to sharpen his identity, especially from a visual standpoint. The logo currently used does not reflect the desired values and characters, namely premium, ethnic, and eccentric. For this reason, the authors use design theory regarding the definition and components of visual identity in the redesign of Oniete's visual identity. The process starts with identifying the problem, then analyzing it by interviewing the founder, comparing visual identities with several competing brands, and then carrying out the creative process. In the end, this study answers the need to design Oniete's visual identity with elements of color, typography, and patterns, which are then applied in various media.
