Abstract

Kesejahteraan siswa-siswi dalam belajar di sekolah menjadi bagian penting dalam pendidikan, hal ini dikarenakan adanya pengaruh baik terhadap perkembangan dan kualitas hidup siswa. Definisi kesejahteraan siswa di sekolah berfokus pada psikologis seperti kesehatan mental yang positif dan kemampuan mengelola pikiran dibawah tekanan (Houge Mackenzie S, 2020). Sekolah Dasar Negeri 70 di Desa Sibaganding menjadi sekolah yang memberi fokus lebih kepada akademis dan social skill siswa-siswi untuk bisa menjadi penerus bangsa yang berprestasi meski datang dari pedesaan, dengan menciptakan suasana belajar yang aktif, inovatif, kreatif, dan efektif sesuai dengan visi-misi sekolah. Desain Green dalam sekolah dipandang sebagai salah satu elemen yang memberi pengaruh baik bagi siswa, studi menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan sekolah mempengaruhi prestasi siswa (Rudd, et. al, 2008 dan Schneider, 2002). Ada banyak elemen yang membentuk sekolah bisa disebut Green, seperti yang tertera pada greenschoolbuildings.org menetapkan bahwa sekolah dengan pendekatan hijau dapat dilihat dari bangunan dan fasilitas yang menciptakan lingkungan sehat yang kondusif, hemat energi dan uang. Untuk mencapai semua elemen tersebut, diperlukan kontribusi siswa-siswi yang ikut aktif dan adanya rasa memiliki terhadap tempat dimana mereka belajar, tidak hanya sekadar mendapatkan pengetahuan tetapi membangun kebiasaan positif untuk sekitarnya. Berada di sekolah juga mengharuskan siswa-siswi mampu membangun relasi yang baik dengan lingkungannya, pentingnya ruang terbuka untuk mereka saling berbagi pengetahuan dan bertukar pikiran juga mendukung kemampuan sosial dan menerima pengetahuan di luar kelas. Maka dari itu, untuk bisa membentuk siswa-siswi yang aktif, inovatif, kreatif dan efektif dibutuhkan adanya ruang terbuka bagi semua baik di dalam maupun di luar kelas sebagai tempat mereka untuk mengeluarkan ide-ide kreatif, bergerak aktif, dan perkembangan fungsi kognitif yang lebih baik. Implementasi Green Design dapat diterapkan ke dalam maupun di luar ruang kelas dengan menggunakan salah satu prinisp green design yaitu wellness. Dengan begitu, siswa diharapkan bisa menjadi sesuai dengan visi-misi sekolah yang berprestasi, aktif, inovatif, kreatif dan efektif./Student wellbeing in studying at school is an important part of education, this is due to the good influence on the development and quality of life of students. SDN 70 in Desa Sibaganding is a school that focuses more on academic and social skills in their students so that they can become the nation's successors who excel even though they come from rural areas, by creating an active, innovative, creative and effective learning atmosphere in accordance with the vision school mission. Green design in schools is seen as one of the elements that has a good influence on students, studies show that the school environment influences student achievement (Rudd, et. al, 2008 and Schneider, 2002). There are many elements that make up a school that can be called Green, as stated on greenschoolbuildings.org stipulates that schools with a green approach can be seen from buildings and facilities that create a conducive healthy environment, saving energy and money. To achieve all of these elements, it requires the contribution of students who are actively involved and have a sense of belonging to the place where they study, not just gaining knowledge but building positive habits for their surroundings. Being at school also requires students to be able to build good relationships with their environment, the importance of open spaces for them to interact and exchange ideas as well as support social skills and receive knowledge from outside the classroom. Therefore, to be able to form students who are active, innovative, creative and effective, it requires an open space for all both inside and outside the classroom as a place for them to express creative ideas, move actively, and develop more cognitive functions. good. The implementation of Green Design can be applied inside or outside the classroom by using one of the principles of green design, namely wellness. That way, students are expected to be in accordance with the school's vision of achieving to be active, innovative, creative and effective.
