Abstract

Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, era pasca pandemi ini telah membawa perubahan terhadap kehidupan manusia termasuk dalam cara mengasuh anak. Pada era ini, anak menjadi sulit untuk dipisahkan dengan gadget. Tanpa adanya pengasuhan yg tepat, penggunaan gadget akan berdampak negatif bagi tumbuh dan kembang anak. Untuk itu, penting bagi orang tua khususnya seorang ibu sebagai pendidik bagi anak untuk menerapkan perannya dalam melakukan digital parenting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran dan tantangan digital parenting untuk anak usia SD di era pasca pandemi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Teori yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah parental mediation theory. Data primer diperoleh dengan melakukan wawancara dan observasi terhadap tiga informan yakni ibu rumah tangga yang memiliki anak usia SD yang tinggal di Tambun Selatan, Bekasi, dan dengan wawancara terhadap Psikolog Klinis Anak dan Remaja. Data sekunder diperoleh dengan studi kepustakaan dan sumber data online lainnya. Hasil temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ibu rumah tangga menjalankan digital parenting yang tidak sebagaimana harusnya. Mereka melakukan pembebasan kepada anak dalam menggunakan gadget seperti, tidak adanya kontrol, tidak adanya dukungan dalam mengedukasi anak secara positif, serta tidak adanya konsistensi dalam memberlakukan peraturan. Dampaknya, anak menjadi sulit diatur, cenderung membangkang, sulit mengontrol emosi, dan rentan akan dampak negatif dari gadget. Tantangan digital parenting juga ditemukan pada kurangnya kesadaran ibu untuk mengetahui dan menjalankan digital parenting yang tepat, tidak adanya sosialiasi dari eksternal mengenai digital parenting, serta tidak adanya dukungan suami. Dengan demikian, diharapkan orang tua dapat lebih berperan aktif dalam pengasuhan terutama dalam digital parenting untuk memakismalkan tumbuh dan kembang anak lebih baik. / Along with the times, this post-pandemic era has brought changes to human life, including how to raise children. In this era, children are difficult to separate from gadgets. Without proper parenting, the use of gadgets will have a negative impact on the growth and development of children. For this reason, it is important for parents, especially mothers as educators of children, to implement their role in carrying out digital parenting. This study aims to find out the roles and challenges of digital parenting for elementary school-age children in the post-pandemic era. This study uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods. The theory used in this research is the parental mediation theory. Primary data was obtained by conducting interviews and observing three informants, namely housewives who have elementary school-aged children who live in South Tambun, Bekasi, and by interviewing child and adolescent clinical psychologists. Secondary data was obtained by means of literature studies and other online data sources. The findings of this study indicate that housewives are not implementing digital parenting as they should. They give freedom to children in using gadgets, such there is no control, there is no support in educating children positively, and there is no consistency in enforcing rules. As a result, children become difficult to manage, tend to be rebellious, have difficulty controlling their emotions, and are vulnerable to the negative effects of gadgets. The challenges of digital parenting are also found in the lack of awareness of mothers to know and carry out proper digital parenting, the absence of external socialization regarding digital parenting, and the absence of the husband's support. Thus, it is hoped that parents can play a more active role in parenting, especially in digital parenting to maximize the growth and development of children better.
