Abstract

Indonesia memiliki kepentingan nasional mengenai stabilitas negara terkait keamanan dan pertahanan untuk melanjutkan pembangunan negara. Terorisme menjadi isu yang sangat penting di kawasan Asia Tenggara dan dengan demikian memperlambat pembangunan negara dan kawasan membuat negara-negara di kawasan ini khususnya Indonesia dan Filipina terancam melalui aksi-aksi yang dilakukan oleh sejumlah kelompok teroris yang hadir di kawasan Asia Tenggara dan beberapa diantaranya beroperasi di Indonesia dan Filipina. Serupa dengan Indonesia, Filipina pun sedang berada di bawah tekanan dan ancaman melalui kelompok teroris Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) yang bermarkas di Filipina Selatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kepentingan Indonesia untuk bekerja sama dengan Filipina terkait penumpasan ASG. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, penulis menganalisis data non-numerik untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang isu terorisme yang dihadapi oleh Indonesia dan Filipina. Metode penelitian studi kasus digunakan dalam tulisan ini karena penulis meneliti mengenai fenomena terorisme yang sedang berlangsung bagi kedua negara. Untuk mengumpulkan informasi, penulis menggunakan teknik sekunder yaitu melalui sumber dalam bentuk tertulis. Penulis menggunakan teknik analisis naratif untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian sehingga tulisan ini dijelaskan secara teoritis. Stabilitas dan keamanan negara menjadi salah satu prioritas Indonesia dalam pembangunan negara. Ancaman teroris melalui dalam negeri maupun luar negeri memberikan dampak instabilitas terhadap negara. Indonesia diharapkan untuk menjalin kerja sama dengan Filipina terkait penumpasan kelompok teroris di Filipina Selatan yaitu ASG demi memenuhi kepentingan nasional. / Indonesia has a national interest regarding state stability related to security and defense to continue the country's development. Terrorism is a very important issue in the Southeast Asian region and thus slows down the development of countries and regions making countries in this region especially Indonesia and the Philippines threatened through actions carried out by several terrorist groups that are present in the Southeast Asian region and some of them are operating. in Indonesia and the Philippines. Like Indonesia, the Philippines is also under pressure and threats through the terrorist group Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) based in the Southern Philippines. This study aims to identify Indonesia's interest in cooperating with the Philippines regarding the ASG crushing. Through a qualitative approach, the authors analyze non-numeric data to gain a deep understanding of the issue of terrorism faced by Indonesia and the Philippines. The case study research method is used in this paper because the authors examine the ongoing phenomenon of terrorism for the two countries. To collect information, the authors use secondary techniques, namely through sources in written form. The author uses narrative analysis techniques to answer research questions so that this paper is explained theoretically. State stability and security are one of Indonesia's priorities in state development. Terrorist threats both domestically and abroad have an impact on the country's instability. Indonesia is expected to cooperate with the Philippines regarding the eradication of the terrorist group in the Southern Philippines, namely the ASG to fulfill national interests.
