Abstract

Interaksi sosial yang terjadi di masyarakat ternyata mengandung adanya relasi yang terkait satu dengan lainnya. Hubungan ini dibangun oleh sesama manusia menghasilkan relasi yang berpotensi membentuk kekuasaan. Penelitian ini menganalisa bagaimana relasi kekuasaan dalam konteks pernikahan yang terjadi di desa Penglipuran, dengan kenyataan bahwa desa ini memiliki budaya menghargai perempuan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan bagaimana relasi kuasa masyarakat desa Penglipuran dalam konteks pernikahan. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi melalui wawancara mendalam yang dilakukan dengan kepala desa setempat dan masyarakat desa. Teori yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah teori relasi kuasa yang di cetuskan oleh Michael Foucault. Dari hasil temuan penelitian ditemukan bahwa di desa Penglipuran terdapat budaya patriarki yang menghasilkan bentuk relasi kuasa hierarki kolektif. This relationship is built by fellow human beings to produce relationships that have the potential to form power. This study analyzes how power relations in the context of marriage occur in Penglipuran village, given the fact that this village has a culture of respecting women. The purpose of this study was to find out and explain how the power relations of the Penglipuran village community are in the context of marriage. Researchers used a qualitative approach with phenomenology methods through in-depth interviews conducted with local village heads and village communities. The theory used in this study is the power relations theory proposed by Michael Foucault. From the findings of the study it was found that in Penglipuran village there is a patriarchal culture which produces forms of collective hierarchical power relations.
