Abstract

Forum G20 menjadi sebuah platform strategis yang telah berkembang sekaligus menjembatani proses koordinasi kebijakan ekonomi internasional yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dari berbagai isu-isu non ekonomi dan pembangunan. Pandemi Covid-19 dan perang Rusia-Ukraina menjadi tantangan tersulit bagi Presidensi G20 Indonesia yang semakin memperburuk perekonomian global dan menyebabkan krisis multidimensional. Hal ini menciptakan situasi complex interdependence dalam Presidensi G20 Indonesia yang memerlukan kerja sama multilateral di berbagai sektor atau isu dengan melibatkan berbagai aktor. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bermaksud menjawab pertanyaan bagaimana transformasi G20 semakin menunjukkan hubungan complex interdependence antar negara serta bagaimana Indonesia manfaatkan complex interdependence sebagai konsep dalam menyukseskan KTT G20. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa forum G20 merupakan sebuah terobosan baru yang mencerminkan mekanisme multiple channels coordination dalam tata kelola global untuk membahas berbagai isu-isu strategis yang lebih luas. Tiga pilar prioritas yang diusung Indonesia dalam presidensinya membuktikan natur forum G20 yang konsisten dalam mengatasi perekonomian global serta mengakomodir isu keamanan yang menunjukkan situasi complex interdependence yang semakin meningkat dengan keterlibatan aktor negara dan non negara di berbagai sektor / The G20 forum has become a strategic platform which has developed as well as bridging the process of international economic policy coordination which cannot be separated from various non-economic and development issues. The Covid-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war became the most difficult challenges for Indonesia’s G20 Presidency which further worsened the global economy and caused a multidimensional crisis. This creates a situation of complex interdependence within the Indonesia’s G20 Presidency which then requires multilateral cooperation in various sectors and issues by involving various actors. Thus, this research aims to answer the question of how the transformation of the G20 increasingly shows the relationship of complex interdependence between countries and how Indonesia can take advantage of complex interdependence as a concept in the success of its G20 Summits. This research indicates that the G20 forum is a new breakthrough that reflects the multi-channel coordination mechanism in global governance to discuss a wide range of strategic issues. The three priority pillars raised by Indonesia has proven the consistent nature of the G20 to address the global economic issues while accommodating security issues which indicates a situation of increasingly complex interdependence involving both state and non-state actors in various sectors.
