Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis identitas sosok ayah yang diperankan oleh Pak Gunawan. Untuk menganalisis hal tersebut, peneliti menggunakan teori komunikasi massa, stereotipe dan karakter. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data kemudian dikumpulkan dengan cara peneliti menonton film sampai selesai dan melakukan pemotongan. Pada penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan teknik analisis Todorov, sehingga peneliti membagi hasil analisis menjadi tiga bagian utama yaitu keseimbangan awal, ketidakseimbangan, dan keseimbangan akhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa identitas karakter ayah yang dibangun dalam film “Sabtu Bersama Bapak” merupakan peran yang penting dalam kehidupan anak-anaknya. Hal ini ditunjukkan saat anak-anak Pak Gunawan menerima pesan video dari ayahnya. Selain itu, peran ayah sebagai pencari nafkah juga diperlihatkan dalam film tersebut. Adapun berdasarkan hasil analisis Todorov, keseimbangan awal dalam film “Sabtu Bersama Bapak” ditunjukkan saat keluarga mereka lengkap dan utuh, yang mana turut menjadi kebahagiaan di dalam keluarga mereka. Ketidakseimbangan mulai ditunjukkan saat ayah meninggal dunia, hingga masalah anak-anaknya yang belum kunjung menikah, perbedaan pendapat antar saudara, dan pekerjaan rahasia tanpa izin. Sementara itu, keseimbangan akhir ditunjukkan saat akhir cerita, dimana konflik- konflik yang muncul telah terselesaikan, anak-anak menemukan pasangan hidup, hingga ibu yang sebelumnya sakit telah sembuh. / This study aims to analyze the identity of the father figure played by Pak Gunawan. To analyze this, the researcher uses mass communication theory, stereotypes and characters. The research method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data was then collected by the researcher watching the film until it was finished and making cuts. In this study the researcher used the Todorov analysis technique, so the researcher divided the results of the analysis into three main parts, namely the initial balance, imbalance and final balance. The results of the study show that the identity of the father's character built in the film "Saturday with Father" plays an important role in the lives of his children. This was demonstrated when Pak Gunawan's children received video messages from their father. In addition, the role of the father as a breadwinner is also shown in the film. Meanwhile, based on the results of Todorov's analysis, the initial balance in the film "Saturday with Father" is shown when their family is complete and intact, which contributes to happiness in their family. Imbalance began to be shown when the father died, to the problems of his unmarried children, differences of opinion between siblings, and secret work without permission. Meanwhile, the final balance is shown at the end of the story, where the conflicts that arise have been resolved, the children find life partners, until the mother who was previously sick has recovered.
