Abstract

In order to share the knowledge and skills that have been acquired during the lecture period and realize the learning function, a Community Service Program (PKM) was designed. This activity program also aims to provide knowledge gained by students in courses that have been taken at the Faculty of Tourism, Hospitality Management study program - Pelita Harapan University, introduce ingredients and how to process base genep in its use in Balinese specialties, introduce a variety of special dishes Bali which is still not exposed, as well as giving examples of steps and how to cook Balinese specialties using base genep with the aim that the processing can be done anywhere, including from home. Therefore, the team created a Community Service program in the form of research on the design of a Balinese recipe book using basic genep spices. This Community Service Program is expected to increase student awareness of the community, benefit the community, and can be developed for sustainability. / Dalam rangka membagikan ilmu dan keterampilan yang telah diperoleh selama masa perkuliahan dan mewujudnyatakan fungsi pembelajaran, maka dirancang sebuah program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM). Program kegiatan ini juga bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan yang didapat oleh mahasiswa pada mata kuliah yang sudah diambil di Fakultas Pariwisata program studi Pengelolaan Perhotelan – Universitas Pelita Harapan, memperkenalkan bahan-bahan dan cara pengolahan base genep dalam penggunaannya pada masakan khas Bali, memperkenalkan ragam masakan khas Bali yang masih belum terekspos, serta memberi contoh langkah-langkah dan cara memasak masakan khas Bali menggunakan base genep dengan tujuan bahwa pengolahannya bisa dilakukan di mana saja, termasuk dari rumah. Oleh karena itu, tim membuat program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dalam bentuk penelitian rancangan buku resep masakan khas Bali menggunakan bumbu base genep. Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kepedulian mahasiswa pada masyarakat, bermanfaat bagi masyarakat, dan dapat dikembangkan keberlanjutannya.
