Abstract

These days, dating is something that is often found in emerging adulthood. There are several types of dating, one of which is long-distance dating. This study examines the relationship between loneliness and romantic relationship satisfaction in long-distance couples in Indonesia. Loneliness is Unpleasant subjective experiences occur when the quality and quantity of one's social relationships has decreased significantly. While romantic relationship satisfaction is the extent to which an individual is satisfied with the partner in the relationship he has. Researchers used quantitative methods with correlational types. Participants in this study amounted to 79 subjects. Researchers used the UCLA Loneliness Scale and Relationship Assessment scale instruments to collect data. The data is processed using the Jeffrey's Amazing Statistics Program (JASP) application. In data analysis using JASP, the results show that there is a significant relationship between loneliness and romantic relationship satisfaction in LDR couples in Indonesia. / Pada zaman sekarang, berpacaran merupakan hal yang sering dijumpai pada emerging adulthood. Muncul beberapa jenis berpacaran yang salah satunya adalah berpacaran jarak jauh. Penelitian ini ingin hubungan antara kesepian dan kepuasan hubungan romantis pada pasangan hubungan jarak jauh di Indonesia. Kesepian merupakan pengalaman subjektif yang tidak menyenangkan terjadi ketika kualitas dan kuantitas hubungan sosial seseorang mengalami penurunan secara signifikan. Sedangkan kepuasan hubungan romantis adalah sejauh mana seorang individu merasa puas akan pasangan dalam hubungan yang dimilikinya. Peneliti menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis korelasional. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 79 subjek. Peneliti menggunakan instrumen UCLA Loneliness Scale dan Relationship Assessment scale untuk mengumpulkan data. Data diolah menggunakan bantuan aplikasi Jeffrey’s Amazing Statistic Program (JASP). Pada analisis data yang menggunakan JASP, hasil menunjukan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kesepian dan kepuasan hubungan romantis pada pasangan LDR di Indonesia.
