Abstract

Latar Belakang penelitian ini mengangkat fenomena ibu tunarungu dimana ada perbedaan pemahaman yaitu ibu sulit memahami keinginan anak tunarungu akibat gangguan pendengaran yang dialami anak tunarungu. Permasalahan yang terjadi adalah bagaimana gambaran harapan ibu tunarungu dan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran harapan ibu anak penyandang tunarungu di jayapura. Dengan menggunakan teori Hope yang dikemukakan oleh (Snyder, 1994) untuk membuat individu dapat mencapai tujuan harapan yang diinginkan tercapai. Metode dalam Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode Kualitatif dan dengan Desain Penelitian Fenomenologi dan juga dalam Pengujian Keabsahan Data peneliti menggunakan Triangulasi. Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah seorang ibu dari anak tunarungu di jayapura. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan proses wawancara lalu membandingkan hasil wawancara setiap subjek dengan subjek lainnya. Dan dalam penelitian ini peneliti menganalisis data dengan cara di Coding. / The background of this research raises the phenomenon of deaf mothers where there are differences in understanding, that is, it is difficult for mothers to understand the desires of deaf children due to hearing loss experienced by deaf children. The problem that occurs is how to describe the expectations of deaf mothers and this study aims to see the description of the expectations of mothers of children with hearing impairments in Jayapura. By using the Hope theory put forward by (Snyder, 1994) to make individuals able to achieve the goals the desired expectations are achieved. The method in this study was carried out using a qualitative method and with a phenomenological research design and also in testing the validity of the data the researcher used triangulation. Participants in this study were mothers of deaf children in Jayapura. Data collection was carried out by interviewing and then comparing the results of interviews for each subject with other subjects. And in this study the researchers analyzed the data by coding.
