Abstract

Buku resep ini memberikan informasi kepada pembacanya berupa teks yang memuat tentang sekilas Sumatra, cita rasa masakan Provinsi di Sumatra, bahan memasak serta cara pembuatannya. Selain teks, informasi ditujukan dalam bentuk visual dengan foto masakan yang ditampilkan. Pulau Sumatra merupakan pulau terbesar ketiga di Indonesia dengan beragam rasa kuliner yang terbuat dari berbagai rempah-rempah di Indonesia. Dengan berkembangnya dunia kuliner di Indonesia yang pesat, masakan khas Provinsi di Sumatra perlahan kurang diminati. Hanya beberapa masakan khas Provinsi di Sumatra yang dikenal masyarakat, seperti rendang dan pempek. Dilakukan juga wawancara dengan orang asli Sumatra dan mendapatkan hasil bahwa masih sedikit yang memperkenalkan resep dari Sumatra. Buku resep ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan beberapa masakan dari 10 Provinsi di Sumatra kepada semua orang yang suka memasak dan ingin mengetahui beberapa masakan dari Provinsi di Sumatra yang lezat dan autentik. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi literatur, berupa wawancara beberapa restoran yang menjual masakan Provinsi di Sumatra, referensi buku dan wawancara panelis ahli. Hasilnya buku resep dapat selesai tepat waktu dan menghasilkan 20 resep masakan Provinsi di Sumatra dengan total 64 halaman. Evaluasi buku resep ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan 130 responden dan menghasilkan respon yang baik dan dapat dibaca oleh masyarakat luas. Buku resep ini dapat bermanfaat dan memperkenalkan masakan Provinsi di Sumatra kepada semua orang yang suka memasak dan dapat dicoba di rumah dengan resep yang sudah disajikan. / This recipe book provides information to its readers in the form of text which contains a glimpse of Sumatra, the flavors of the cuisine of the Provinces in Sumatra, cooking ingredients and how to make them. In addition to the text, information is presented in visual forms with photos of dishes displayed. Sumatra Island is the third largest island in Indonesia with a variety of culinary flavors made from various Indonesian spices. With the rapid development of the culinary world in Indonesia, the specialties of the provinces in Sumatra are slowly becoming less popular. Only the public, such as rendang and pempek, knows few provicnes specialties in Sumatra. Interviews were also conducted with native Sumatran people and found that only few introduced recipes from Sumatra. This recipe book aims to introduce some dishes from 10 Provinces in Sumatra to everyone who loves to cook and wants to know some dishes from Provinces in Sumatra that are delicious and authentic. The method used was descriptive qualitative with literature study, in the form of interviews with several restaurants selling provincial cuisine in Sumatra, book references and expert panelist interviews. As a result, the recipe book design was completed on time and resulted in 20 provincial recipes in Sumatra with a total of 64 pages. Evaluation of the design of this recipe book used a quantitative method with 130 respondents and produced good responses and could be read by the wider community. This recipe book design can be useful and introduce Provincial cuisine in Sumatra to everyone who likes to cook and can try it at home with the recipes that have been presented.
