Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data secara observasi dan wawancara. Penelitian dilakukan karena melihat terjadinya permasalahan selama magang mengenai kualitas daily worker junior di Palm Café Hotel Aryaduta, hal ini terjadi setelah pandemi. Perhotelan adalah sektor yang sangat menderita karena terikut dampak besar pada pandemi ini. Selama pandemi covid-19 khususnya di Indonesia, yang mengakibatkan banyak hotel tutup dan pemutusan hubungan kerja karyawan atau staf. Sebuah hotel yang beroperasi sepanjang waktu dan masih bertahan sampai hari ini dengan memakai cara mengurangikaryawan tetap dan memilih daily worker atau pekerja harian dan juga training. Daily worker atau pekerja harian adalah karyawan suatu perusahaan yang beban kerjanya sewaktu-waktu dapat berubah-ubah dan gajinya dihitung berdasarkanjumlah jam kerja per hari dan jumlah yang dibayarkan. Sebagai daily worker menerima bayar mingguan atau bulanan adalah berdasarkan kesepakatan antara perusahaan dan pekerja. Pekerja harian adalah pekerja yang bekerja untuk jangka waktu tertentu di hotel tanpa kontrak resmi. Kinerja karyawan dalam suatu hotel itu merupakan salah satu peran dari manajemen sumber daya manusia. Manajemen sumber daya manusia merupakan suatu proses memperoleh dan pemberian kompensasi pada karyawan. Dalam sebuah hotel manajemen sumber daya manusia harus memastikan setiap karyawan baru bisa memberikan service yang berkualitas pada setiap tamu yang berkunjung ke hotel. Dengan cara ini, kesuksesan bisnis dantujuan perusahaan ditentukan berdasarkan kualitas layanan. Pelayanan yang baik menciptakan kepuasan dan loyalitas kepada tamu. Sehingga hotel perlu membuat persyaratan dan ketentuan sesuai kebutuhan hotel, melakukan seleksi dan pelatihan serta mengizinkan pekerja harian untuk menangani pesanan produk minuman dengan adanya pengawasan dari senior. Dalam menghasilkan kualitas daily worker yang baik ada tiga hal yang harus dimiliki yaitu skills, knowledge dan ability./ This study uses qualitative methods by collecting data through observation and interviews. This research was conducted because there were problems during the internship related to the quality of junior daily workers at the Palm Café Hotel Aryaduta Lippo Village, this happened after the pandemic. Hospitality is a sector that has suffered greatly from this pandemic. During the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in Indonesia, many hotels were closed and employees were laid off. Hotels that operate around the clock and still survive today by reducing permanent employees and opting for Daily Workers or freelancers and training. Daily workers are employees of a company whose jobs can change at any time and their salary is calculated based on the number of hours worked per day and the amount to be completed. As a daily worker who receives a salary or monthly payment based on an agreement between the company and the worker. Daily workers are workers who work certain hours in hotels without a formal contract. Employee performance in a hotel is one of the roles of human resource management. Human resource management is the process of buying and giving gifts to employees. In a hotel management, human resources must ensure that every new employee can provide quality service to every guest who visits the hotel. In this way, business success and company goals are determined based on service quality. Good service creates satisfaction and loyalty to guests. So that the hotel needs to make terms and conditions according to hotel needs, conduct selection and training and allow daily workers to handle orders for beverage products with supervision from seniors. In producing a quality daily workforce there are three things that must be possessed, namely skills, knowledge and abilities.
