Abstract

Usia dini adalah usia keemasan anak sehingga seluruh aspek perkembangannya perlu distimulasi dengan baik. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh adanya kerisauan guru terhadap peserta didik karena belum berkembangnya kecerdasan kinestetik yang melibatkan keseimbangan, kelenturan dan koordinasi dan juga kurangnya rasa percaya diri siswa usia 6 - 7 tahun di Sekolah XYZ di Jakarta. Peneliti memutuskan untuk menerapkan metode demonstrasi yang dilakukan pada pelajaran seni tari (dance) untuk mengatasi kerisauan tersebut. Metode demonstrasi cocok untuk diterapkan pada anak usia dini karena berfokus pada tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dengan memberikan langkah-langkah demonstrasi dan tahap akhir. Penelitian ini dirancang dengan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang setiap siklusnya terdiri dari “perencanaan (planning), tindakan (action), observasi (observing), dan refleksi (reflecting)”. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kolaboratif antara peneliti sebagai guru dengan rekan guru di kelas. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dengan menggunakan rubrik, wawancara dengan rekan guru, pengamatan anecdotal records dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SD kelas 1B yang berjumlah 17 siswa. Analisis data dilakukan melalui langkah-langkah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan interpretasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode demonstrasi dalam pelajaran seni tari dapat meningkatkan kecerdasan kinestetik siwa kelas 1B Sekolah XYZ, Jakarta, hal ini terlihat dari hasil perhitungan N-gain dari masa pra siklus ke siklus II, yaitu terdapat 11 siswa mengalami peningkatan tinggi, yaitu di atas 75%, lima siswa di atas 50%, dan satu siswa di atas 40%. Sedangkan dalam hal percaya diri, sembilan siswa mengalami peningkatan tinggi, yaitu di atas 75%, dan delapan siswa mengalami peningkatan sedang di atas 50%. / Early childhood is the golden age of children, so all aspects of their development need to be adequately stimulated. The background of this research is the teacher's concern about the students because of the underdeveloped kinesthetics intelligence, which involves balance, flexibility, and coordination, as well as the lack of self-confidence of students aged 6 - 7 years at XYZ School in Jakarta. The researcher decided to apply the demonstration method, which was carried out in dance lessons to overcome these concerns. The demonstration method is suitable for early childhood because it focuses on the preparatory stage, the implementation stage by providing demonstration steps, and the final stage. This research was designed with Classroom Action Research, each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation (observing), and reflection (reflecting). This research is collaborative research between researcher as teacher and class co-teacher. Data were collected through observation using rubrics, interviews with class teachers, anecdotal records, and documentation. The research subjects were elementary school students in grade 1B, which consisted of 17 students. Data were analysed through data reduction, presentation, and interpretation. The results showed that the application of the demonstration method in dance lessons could improve the kinesthetic intelligence of class 1B students at XYZ School, Jakarta. This can be seen from the results of the N-gain measurement from the pre-cycle to cycle II, namely that there were 11 students who experienced a high increase, namely above 75%, five students above 50%, and one student experienced a moderate increase above 40%. Meanwhile, in terms of self-confidence, nine students experienced a high increase, namely above 75%, and eight students above 50%.
