Abstract

Even nowadays, there are many people that cannot develop well because of not knowing themselves very well. The impact of this condition is an incompatibly with the area of expertise that somebody work or gone through. This thing happens because of the decision to take the area of expertise merely based on the popularity in the society or the high chances to work without even taking notice of the interests and skills that someone have. Therefore a system to determine someone’s personality is designed, so that people know which personality they have and could develop themselves well. The system designed using the theory of two personality tests. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator as the main theory used, and the four temperaments theory as the supporting theory used. These theories are being used because of the popularity and already well-known by the society. Nineteen questions are used to determine the personality of the tester. A validity test and reliability test is done as a base to check these questions. Several other testing has been done to test whether the result produced is eligible or not. First test involving comparing between the system and another similar application. The other test takes the result of a paper based test that usually used. After the testing is performed, it can be concluded that the system could show a result that the tester get a well defined result.
