Abstract

Dalam dunia konstruksi tanah merupakan material yang penting karena tanah dasar digunakan sebagai penopang bangunan atau konstruksi yang dibangun diatasnya. Akan tetapi, jenis tanah yang tersebar di Indonesia salah satunya adalah tanah lempung. Tanah lempung memiliki daya dukung yang rendah untuk itu diperlukan stabilisasi tanah sehingga daya dukung tanah lempung dapat meningkat. Stabilisasi dapat dilakukan dengan stabilisasi kimiawi yaitu dengan mencampurkan tanah dengan bahan tambah seperti abu marmer. Penggunaan abu marmer sebagai bahan stabilisasi tanah adalah karena kandungan abu marmer yang dapat mengimbangi muatan negative pada tanah lempung. Sehingga dilakukannya pengujian stabilisasi tanah abu marmer ini dengan kadar abu marmer 3%, 6%, 9%, dan 12%. Untuk mengetahui reaksi dari abu marmer ini dilakkan pengujian dengan CBR lapangan dengan model skala kecil laboratorium. Sebelum melakukan pengujian init, dilakuka pengujian karakteristik tanah seperti mencari kadar air, specific gravity, saringan dan hydrometer, dan batas-batas atterberg. Dilakukan juga pengujian kompaksi abu marmer 0%, 3%, 6%, 9%, dan 12% untuk mendapatkan kadar air optimum dan berat isi kering. Hasil dari pengujian kompaksi tersebut kemudian digunakan untuk pengujian CBR. Pengujian dilakukan dengan ketebalan berbeda- beda yaitu 10cm, 20cm, dan 30cm. Hasil yang didapatkan, stabiliasi menggunakan abu marmer membuat nilai CBR meningkat dan semakin tebal tanah yang distabilisasi nilainya juga semakin meningkat. / In the construction world, soil is a crucial material as the foundation for buildings or structures constructed on top of it. However, one of the soil types found in Indonesia is clay soil. Clay soil has low bearing capacity, requiring soil stabilization to enhance its load-bearing capacity. Stabilization can be achieved through chemical means, such as mixing the soil with an additive like marble dust (abu marmer). Marble dust is used for soil stabilization because of its content, which can balance the negative charge in clay soil. Hence, this study conducts testing on the stabilization of clay soil with varying percentages of marble dust (3%, 6%, 9%, and 12%). To determine the reaction of marble dust, field CBR (California Bearing Ratio) testing is performed using a small-scale laboratory model. Before conducting the tests, the soil characteristics are examined, including moisture content, specific gravity, sieve, and hydrometer analysis, and Atterberg limits. Additionally, compaction tests are carried out on mixtures of marble dust (0%, 3%, 6%, 9%, and 12%) to determine the optimum moisture content and dry density. The results from the compaction tests are then utilized for the CBR testing. The CBR tests are conducted with different thicknesses of stabilized soil, namely 10cm, 20cm, and 30cm. The findings reveal that stabilization using marble dust increases the CBR value, and the thicker the stabilized soil layer, the higher the CBR value.
