Abstract

Surah Al-Fatihah as the opening Surah in the Qur'an and a guide in worship for a Muslim. This means that this surah Al-Fatihah is the key to the main reading that starts every worship activity or even when praying. Surah Al-Fatihah is often read during prayer and it will be more solemn if you understand its meaning, because for a Muslim it is not said to be praying if he does not read the Surah. However, in fact, only six of the 36 students were able to write and translate Surah Al-Fatihah. Thus, there was a gap of the 30 students who did not have these competencies yet. The solution to solving the problems above was to use the Drilling Method by applying Google Forms and the teaching-learning activities were conducted by writing the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah repeatedly and increasing the number for those who had not completed it. The research design implemented was the Classroom Action Research proposed by Lewin (1946), which consisted of three cycles involving the 36 students of the Class VII MTS Nurul Haq Balaraja. The research data was obtained through tests in the form of practice questions using Student Worksheets and the Google Forms application, observations, interview results, activity photos and field notes. The results have indicated that the application of the Drilling Method can improve ability in writing the pronunciations and translating Surah Al-Fatihah ≥80% in the Reading and Writing Al-Qur'an lessons. / Surah Al-Fatihah sebagai Surah pembuka dalam Al-qur’an dan pedoman dalam beribadah bagi sorang muslim. Artinya surah Al-fatihah ini merupakan kunci bacaan utama yang mengawali setiap kegiatan beribadah atau pun saat berdo’a. Surah Al-Fatihah sering dibaca ketika shalat dan akan lebih khusyu apabila memahami maknanya, karena bagi seorang muslim tidak dikatakan shalat bila tidak membaca Surah tersebut. Namun faktanya, hanya enam dari 36 siswa yang sudah dapat menuliskan dan menerjemahkan Surah Al-Fatihah, dengan demikian terdapat gap sebesar 30 siswa yang belum memiliki kompetensi tersebut. Solusi untuk menuntaskan permasalahan di atas adalah dengan menggunakan Metode Drilling. Metode Drilling adalah metode dengan cara menuliskan Lafaz Surah Al-Fatihah secara berulang-ulang dan semakin meningkat jumlahnya bagi yang belum tuntas. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model Lewin (1946), yang terdiri dari tiga siklus dengan melibatkan 36 siswa Kelas VII MTS Nurul Haq Balaraja. Data penelitian ini didapat melalui tes berupa latihan soal dengan menggunakan Lembar Pertanyaan Siswa dan aplikasi Google Forms, observasi, hasil wawancara, foto kegiatan serta tulisan lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Metode Drilling dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis lafaz dan menerjemahkan Surah Al-Fatihah ≥80% pada pelajaran Baca Tulis Al-qur’an.
