Abstract

Permasalahan akan sampah terjadi di seluruh negara di dunia yang salah satunya terjadi di Indonesia. Kondisi Indonesia sendiri terdapat timbulan sampah mencapai 19,44 juta ton dengan provinsi Jawa Tengah sebagai penghasil terbanyak diikuti dengan provinsi DKI Jakarta. Kota Jakarta Selatan rawan banjir dikarenakan adanya penumpukan sampah, kondisi tersebut terjadi akibat rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pengolahan sampah. Pendidikan merupakan kegiatan yang sangat penting untuk dilakukan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pendidikan dan pembelajaran dapat dilakukan melalui berbagai cara dan metode salah satunya adalah bermain. Pengunaan card game menjadi salah satu solusi efektif bagi proses edukasi. Card game yang dirancang, diberi nama “Save Earth” tujuan untuk memberikan edukasi pengenalan tentang sampah. Dalam perancangan kartu “Save Earth” digunakan tahapan rancangan Ulrich & Eppingger. Penentuan desain pada kartu ditentukan sesuai dengan topik yang dibuat. Permainan diuji coba menggunakan prototipe yang sudah dibuat. Permainan diperbaiki berdasarkan saran dari pemain. Untuk mengukur keberhasilan dalam pembuatan permainan, dibuatlah daftar pertanyaan. Sebelum dan setelah bermain akan diberikan pertanyaan kepada pemain. Berdasarkan hasil akhir poin yang didapatkan, diketahui ada peningkatan poin setelah bermain game. Dari 6 responden mendapatkan rata-rata kenaikan poin setelah bermain sebesar 24 poin. Card game yang berjudul “Save Earth” dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai alat edukasi pengenalan tentang sampah./The problem of waste occurs in all countries in the world. Indonesian has generated 19.44 million tons of waste with Central Java as the largest producer, followed by DKI Jakarta. The city of South Jakarta is prone to flooding due to the accumulation of waste, this condition occurs due to low public awareness of waste management. Education is an activity that is very important to do in everyday life. Education and learning can be done in various ways and methods, one of which is playing. The use of card games is an effective solution for the educational process. The designed card game, named “Save Earth” aims to provide introductory education about waste. In designing the “Save Earth” card, the Ulrich & Eppingger design stages were used. Determination of the design on the card is determined according to the topic that is made. The game was tested using a prototype that had been made. The game is fixed based on suggestions from players. To measure success in making the game, a list of questions was made. Before and after playing, players will be asked questions. Based on the final points obtained, it is known that there is an increase in points after playing the game. Of the 6 respondents, the average point increase after playing was 24 points. A card game entitled "Save Earth" was declared suitable as an educational tool for waste introduction.
