Abstract

Kesehatan adalah hal yang penting bagi masyarakat terutama dalam hal melakukan kegiatan sehari-hari. Masyarakat dapat melakukan pengobatan sendiri atau swamedikasi. Swamedikasi ini merupakan pengobatan yang dilakukan secara mandiri. Swamedikasi dilakukan masyarakat dalam mengatasi keluhan ringan seperti maag, flu, pusing, serta batuk. Batuk merupakan salah satu penyakit ringan yang sering terjadi di masyarakat dengan dua jenis batuk yaitu berdahak dan kering. Pola pengobatan sekarang sudah menuju ke swamedikasi yaitu pengobatan yang dilakukan masyarakat tanpa resep dokter. Pemasalahan yang sering terjadi adalah penggunaan obat yang tidak tepat indikasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dan dilakukan dengan pengisian kuisioner oleh responden secara prosfektif untuk melihat profil serta gambaran swamedikasi batuk di Apotek X Kabupaten Tangerang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan swamedikasi batuk pada pasien di Apotek X Kabupaten Tangerang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan peneliti pada penelitian ini ialah total sampling. Data yang diambil adalah data primer dengan mengisi kuisioner. Rata-rata jawaban responden dari 10 pertanyaan adalah 78,8% dengan 4 kategori pertanyaan. Gambaran pengetahuan swamedikasi batuk berdasarkan jawaban yang benar yaitu kategori cara mendapatkan obat 69,7%, cara memilih obat 79,58%, cara penggunaan obat 87,9% dan cara penyimpanan obat 78,05%. / Health is important for the community, especially in terms of carrying out daily activities. Self-medication is a treatment that is carried out independently. Self-medication is carried out by the community to overcome minor complaints such as stomach ulcers, flu, dizziness, and coughs. Cough is a mild disease that often occurs in society. There are two types of cough, phlegm and dry. The pattern of treatment now is self-medication, treatment carried out by the community without a doctor's prescription. Problem that often occurs is the use of drugs for which there are no appropriate indications. This research is descriptive and was conducted by respondents filling out questionnaires prospectively to see the profile and picture of cough self-medication at Pharmacy X, Tangerang Regency. This study aims to describe the knowledge of cough self-medication among patients at Pharmacy X, Tangerang Regency. The sampling technique that used is total sampling. The average respondent's answer to the 10 questions was 78.8% with 4 question categories. An overview of cough self-medication knowledge based on the correct answers, namely the categories of how to get the drug (69.7%), how to choose the drug (79.58%), how to use the drug (87.9%), and how to store the drug (78.05%).
