Abstract
Pemilihan metode pembelajaran penting untuk dipikirkan dengan matang ketika akan diterapkan dalam pembelajaran. Normalnya metode pembelajaran akan membawa siswa pada tujuan pembelajaran yaitu adanya minat belajar, keterlibatan siswa, dan hasil belajar yang baik. Faktanya, ditemukan ketidakefektifan pemilihan dan penerapan metode pembelajaran ketika penulis melaksanakan praktik mengajar yaitu metode ceramah yang membuat siswa kurang terlibat dan tertantang dalam belajar. Masalah terlihat dari pasifnya siswa dan hasil belajar yang rendah. Hal ini menunjukkan metode tidak berjalan sesuai pandangan teologis yaitu metode harus membawa siswa pada kebenaran Allah dan menumbuhkan iman siswa. Penulis mengajukan salah satu solusi yang dapat diterapkan yaitu metode pembelajaran project based learning ketika akan memilih metode pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, tujuan penelitian yaitu mengkaji hasil penerapan metode pembelajaran project based learning sebagai solusi pemilihan metode pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui kajian pustaka penelitian terdahulu dan data lampiran portofolio yaitu hasil praktik mengajar penulis. Hasil penerapan metode pembelajaran project based learning berhasil menjadi solusi dalam memilih metode pembelajaran yang diukur dari empat indikator yaitu hasil belajar baik, adanya keterlibatan siswa, adanya motivasi siswa, dan keadaan yang kondusif. Saran bagi peneliti selanjutnya yaitu mengkaji salah satu tahapan metode project based learning yaitu diskusi kelompok guna melihat efektivitasnya dalam penerapan metode pembelajaran project based learning./ It is important to think carefully about choosing a learning method when applying it in learning. Normally learning methods will lead students to learning goals, namely interest in learning, student involvement, and good learning outcomes. In fact, it was found that the selection and application of learning methods was ineffective when the author implemented teaching practices, namely the lecture method, which made students less involved and challenged in learning. The problem can be seen from student passivity and low learning outcomes. This shows that the method did not work according to the theological view, namely that the method must lead students to God's truth and grow students' faith. The author proposes one solution that can be applied, namely the project based learning method when choosing a learning method. Thus, the aim of the research is to examine the application of project based learning methods as the solution for selecting learning methods. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method through a literature review of previous researches and portfolio attachment data, namely the results of the author's teaching practices. The results of implementing the project based learning method succeeded in becoming the solution in choosing a learning method which was measured from four indicators, namely good learning outcomes, student involvement, student motivation, and conducive conditions. Suggestions for further researchers are to examine one of the stages of the project-based learning method, namely group discussion, to see its effectiveness in implementing the project-based learning method.
