Abstract

Keaktifan merupakan penggerak utama kegiatan belajar untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Keaktifan belajar terjadi karena murid mengkonstruksi pengetahuan selama pembelajaran. Filsafat konstruktivisme mendorong murid aktif mengonstruksi pengetahuan melalui lingkungan belajar. Pandangan Kristen mengakui Allah berotoritas mengkonstruksi pengetahuan murid melalui komunitas Kristus. Keaktifan belajar murid dapat dibantu menggunakan metode kooperatif tipe jigsaw. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui penerapan dan langkah-langkah metode jigsaw yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu keaktifan belajar murid kelas VIII pada mata pelajaran Biologi. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan metode jigsaw membantu keaktifan belajar murid dengan mengamati empat indikator, yaitu 1) semua murid semangat mengikuti pembelajaran, 2) semua murid memperhatikan penjelasan guru, 3) semua murid menjawab pertanyaan, serta 4) semua murid memberikan pendapat saat berdiskusi. Langkah-langkah metode jigsaw, yaitu 1) guru menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran, 2) guru menyampaikan informasi materi, 3) guru membentuk kelompok heterogen, 4) guru membagi subtopik yang berbeda pada setiap kelompok, 5) guru meminta kelompok berdiskusi untuk mempelajari materi, 6) guru meminta kelompok ahli mempresentasikan materi kepada kelompok asal, 7) guru meminta murid menyimpulkan materi pembelajaran, 8) guru menyimpulkan keseluruhan pembelajaran, serta 9) guru memberikan penghargaan kepada kelompok terbaik. Saran penelitian adalah penerapan metode jigsaw dilakukan minimal dua kali pengajaran untuk membantu keaktifan belajar murid secara optimal/ Activeness is the main driver of learning activities to achieve learning goals. Active learning occurs because students construct knowledge during learning. The constructivism philosophy encourages students to actively construct knowledge through the learning environment. The Christian view recognizes that God has the authority to construct students' knowledge through the community of Christ. Student learning activity can be helped using the jigsaw type cooperative method. The research aims to determine the application and steps of the jigsaw method that can be used to help active learning of class VIII students in Biology subjects. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. The results of the research show that the jigsaw method helps students' active learning by observing four indicators, namely 1) all students are enthusiastic about learning, 2) all students pay attention to the teacher's explanation, 3) all students answer questions, and 4) all students provide opinions during discussions. The steps of the jigsaw method, namely 1) the teacher conveys the learning objectives, 2) the teacher conveys material information, 3) the teacher forms heterogeneous groups, 4) the teacher divides different subtopics into each group, 5) the teacher asks the groups to discuss to study the material, 6) the teacher asks the expert group to present the material to the original group, 7) the teacher asks the students to conclude the learning material, 8) the teacher concludes the entire lesson, and 9) the teacher gives awards to the best group. The research suggestion is that the application of the jigsaw method be carried out at least twice in teaching to help students' learning activity optimally.
