Abstract

Metode pembelajaran yang tepat dapat menjadi sarana untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran, menolong siswa bertumbuh secara holistis, serta mengembangkan konsentrasi belajar. Tetapi faktanya, rendahnya konsentrasi belajar masih ditemukan dalam praktik pengajaran yang tercermin melalui perilaku tidak benar seperti bermain chrome book dan pergi toilet beramai-ramai. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji penerapan metode drill dalam mengembangkan konsentrasi belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa metode drill yang berfokus pada latihan berulang mampu mengembangkan konsentrasi belajar siswa. Hal ini teridentifikasi melalui perubahan perilaku siswa setelah penerapan metode drill sesuai dengan indikator konsentrasi belajar, yaitu memperhatikan dan memahami materi, memberikan respon verbal yang baik, dan menunjukkan sikap yang benar. Dalam penerapan metode pembelajaran, penting bagi guru untuk mengetahui karakteristik siswa karena ketidaksesuaian metode akan berdampak pada konsentrasi belajar siswa. Cara guru memandang siswa akan memengaruhi cara guru memperlakukan siswa. Guru Kristen harus mendidik dan mengarahkan siswa untuk bertanggung jawab atas apa yang dilakukan. Metode pembelajaran juga harus didasarkan pada Firman Tuhan karena bimbingan Roh Kudus yang menuntun pada kebenaran dan menghadirkan pertumbuhan dalam diri siswa. Saran bagi penelitian selanjutnya adalah mencari lebih banyak sumber dan lebih mendalam mengkaji kaitan perilaku siswa yang berkonsentrasi dengan komitmen siswa untuk mengimplementasikan pengetahuan dalam kehidupan. / Appropriate learning method can be a means to achieve goals, help students grow holistically, and develop learning concentration. In fact, low concentration is still found in learning process which is reflected through incorrect behaviour such as playing chrome books and going to the toilet in a group. This research’ purpose is to examine the implementation of drilll method in developing learning concentration. The method used is a descriptive qualitative. The result shows that drilll method which focuses on repeated practice can develop learning concentration. Identified through changes in student behavior after implementing drilll method in accordance with indicators of learning concentration, that is understanding the material, providing good verbal responses, and showing the right attitude. In implementing learning methods, it is important for teachers to know the students’ characteristics because inappropriate methods will affect students' learning concentration. The way teachers view students affect the way teachers treat students. Christian teachers must educate students to be responsible for what they do. Learning methods must also be based on God's Word because guidance from the Holy Spirit will lead to truth and bring growth in students. Suggestions for further research are to look for more sources and examine deeper about the connection between students’ concentration to students' commitment in implementing knowledge in life.
