Abstract

Dalam pembelajaran, sikap saling menghargai dibutuhkan agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai melalui setiap siswa memiliki kepercayaan diri untuk mengaktualisasikan diri. Fakta di kelas XII IPS-3 menunjukkan masih ada praktik sikap tidak saling menghargai, seperti siswa mengejek siswa lain, tidak memperhatikan orang lain yang berbicara, memaksakan kehendak dan berteriak di dalam kelas. Siswa lebih memiliki untuk melakukan sikap tidak saling menghargai karena kehendak bebas yang dimilikinya telah terdistorsi oleh dosa. Filsafat humanisme memandang sikap saling menghargai atas dasar memanusiakan manusia, namun pendidikan Kristen memandang kelas sebagai komunitas shalom dan sikap saling menghargai merupakan cara siswa menunjukkan kasih Kristus yang telah siswa terima. Guru perlu memfasilitasi dan tuntunan kepada siswa untuk mempraktikkan sikap saling menghargai. Salah satunya dengan metode diskusi yang memberi kesempatan siswa untuk berinteraksi satu sama lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan upaya mendorong siswa memiliki sikap saling menghargai melalui metode diskusi pada mata pelajaran Akuntansi di kelas XII IPS-3. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatf deskriptif dan menghasilkan penerapan metode diskusi mampu mendorong sikap saling menghargai, dengan melakukan tiga penekanan pada pemberian rules, pemberian teguran yang konsisten dan evaluasi. Saran bagi penelitian selanjutnya adalah menggali lebih dalam mengenai kelemahan metode diskusi sehingga dapat diantisipasi dalam pelaksanaannya, dan guru disarankan untuk menugaskan refleksi siswa secara personal agar siswa mampu merefleksikan pentingnya sikap saling menghargai. / In learning, mutual respect is needed so that learning objectives can be achieved through each student having the confidence to self-actualize. Facts in class XII IPS-3 show that there are still practices of disrespect, such as students mocking other students, not paying attention to others who speak, imposing their will and shouting in class. Students are more likely to practice disrespect because their free will has been distorted by sin. The philosophy of humanism views mutual respect on the basis of humanizing humans, but Christian education views the classroom as a community of shalom and mutual respect is a way for students to show the love of Christ that students have received. Teachers need to facilitate and guide students to practice mutual respect. One of them is the discussion method that gives students the opportunity to interact with each other. This study aims to explain the efforts to encourage students to have mutual respect through discussion methods in Accounting subjects in class XII IPS-3. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods and results in the application of the discussion method being able to encourage mutual respect, by placing three emphases on providing rules, giving consistent warnings and evaluating. Suggestions for further research are to explore more deeply the weaknesses of the discussion method so that they can be anticipated in its implementation, and teachers are advised to assign personal student reflections so that students are able to reflect on the importance of mutual respect.
