Abstract

Hasil observasi dan refleksi mengajar menunjukkan bahwa siswa belum mengalami pembelajaran bermakna. Masalah yang muncul di kelas seperti sikap acuh siswa di kelas, kurangnya pemahaman yang mendalam akan materi dan sulitnya bagi siswa untuk merefleksikan materi pembelajaran dengan kehidupannya sehari-hari. Solusi yang diperoleh adalah dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan dan langkah-langkah metode pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri dalam mengupayakan pembelajaran bermakna terhadap siswa kelas XI IPS dalam mata pelajaran geografi. Filsafat Epistemologi menjadi landasan dalam memahami pembelajaran bermakna. Filsafat epistemologi menuntun siswa pada sumber tertinggi yaitu kebenaran Allah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri dapat mengupayakan pembelajaran bermakna bagi siswa dalam pelajaran geografi. Pemenuhan setiap indikator menunjukkan siswa mengalami pembelajaran bermakna. Peran guru Kristen penting membawa siswa mengalami kebenaran Allah dalam pembelajaran sehingga lepas dari belenggu dosa yang membuat siswa cenderung berbuat hal yang tidak dikehendaki Allah. Roh kudus akan menuntun guru dalam pengajarannya dalam menerapkan metode yang diterapkan sehingga dapat membawa siswa pada makna tertinggi pembelajaran itu yaitu kebenaran Allah sehingga dapat membawa siswa pada Persekutuan dengan Allah.Saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya dapat menggunakan metode lain yang juga dapat mengupayakan pembelajaran bermakna terhadap siswa. / The results of observation and reflection on teaching show that students have not experienced meaningful learning. Problems that arise in class such as the indifferent attitude of students in class, lack of deep understanding of the material and difficult for students to reflect the learning material with their daily lives. The solution obtained is to apply inquiry-based learning methods. This study aims to determine the application and steps of inquiry-based learning methods in striving for meaningful learning for grade XI social studies students in geography subjects. The philosophy of Epistemology is the foundation for understanding meaningful learning. The philosophy of epistemology leads students to the highest source, the truth of God. The research method used is qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that the application of inquiry-based learning methods can strive for meaningful learning for students in geography lessons. The fulfillment of each indicator indicates students experience meaningful learning. The role of Christian teachers is important to bring students to experience God's truth in learning so as to escape the bondage of sin that makes students tend to do things that God does not want. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit in their teaching, teachers through applied methods can bring students to the highest meaning of learning, namely the truth of God so as to bring students to Fellowship with God. Suggestions for future research can use other methods that can also seek meaningful learning for students.
