Abstract

Minat belajar menjadi salah satu komponen yang sangat penting untuk dimiliki siswa dalam pembelajaran kimia. Minat siswa untuk belajar kimia harus ditingkatkan karena belajar adalah proses siswa untuk semakin mengenal Allah Sang Pencipta alam semesta. Selain itu, beberapa penelitian terdahulu juga mengungkapkan bahwa minat belajar dapat mempengaruhi motivasi, keterlibatan hingga prestasi belajar siswa. Akan tetapi, fakta yang ditemukan di lapangan adalah siswa memiliki minat belajar yang rendah dalam pembelajaran kimia. Berangkat dari permasalahan tersebut penulis ingin mengkaji peran guru Kristen sebagai inovator dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi untuk mendorong minat belajar siswa pada pembelajaran kimia. Melalui metode kualitatif deskriptif, dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru Kristen sebagai inovator memiliki peran dalam melakukan persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi terhadap media pembelajaran. Pada tahap persiapan guru Kristen sebagai inovator memiliki peran untuk memilih media pembelajaran melalui beberapa tahapan yang dimulai dari identifikasi kebutuhan siswa, identifikasi fasilitas sekolah, merancang pembelajaran berdasarkan Wawasan Kristen Alkitabiah, memilih media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang sesuai, melakukan analisis biaya dan kemudahan akses. Meskipun demikian, penulis juga menyarankan agar penelitian selanjutnya dapat mengkaji faktor lain yang menyebabkan rendahnya minat belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran kimia serta menggunakan kuesioner agar persentase pertumbuhan minat siswa dapat diamati dengan lebih jelas/Interest in learning is a very important component for students to have in learning chemistry. Students' interest in studying chemistry must be increased because learning is a process for students to get to know God, the Creator of the universe. Apart from that, several previous studies also revealed that interest in learning can influence students' motivation, involvement and learning achievement. However, the facts found in the field are that students have low interest in learning chemistry. Based on these problems, the author wants to examine the role of Christian teachers as innovators in using technology-based learning media to encourage students' interest in learning chemistry. Through descriptive qualitative methods, it can be concluded that Christian teachers as innovators have a role in preparing, implementing, and evaluating learning media. In the preparation stage, Christian teachers as innovators have a role in selecting learning media through several stages starting from identifying student needs, identifying school facilities, designing learning based on Biblical Christian Insights, choosing appropriate technology-based learning media, conducting cost analysis and ease of access. However, the author also suggests that further research can examine other factors that cause students' low interest in learning chemistry and use a questionnaire so that the percentage growth in student interest can be observed more clearly.
