Abstract

In today's ever-evolving landscape of English Language Education, the integration of technology, particularly Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL), has emerged as a vital element to meet the changing needs of students and teachers. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method with data taken from the research instruments during the teaching practice. This study investigated the potential of CALL to enhance collaboration among Grade XI Social Science students, a dimension that has received limited attention. Drawing upon Christian principles, this research explores the responsible use of technology while considering the multifaceted aspects of student collaboration in the digital age. The findings suggest that, when thoughtfully implemented, CALL could significantly enhance student collaboration by emphasizing technological infrastructure, instilling the value of collaboration, integrating peer assessment, incorporating gamification elements, and engaging in practical, task-oriented CALL activities. This research suggested that teachers should engage in ongoing professional development, incorporate peer assessment and gamification, and develop task�oriented CALL activities./Dalam bidang pendidikan Bahasa Inggris yang terus berubah pada zaman ini, integrasi teknologi, khususnya Computer-assisted Language Learning (CALL), telah muncul sebagai elemen penting untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dari siswa dan guru. Menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan data portofolio PPL 2. Studi ini menyelidiki potensi CALL untuk meningkatkan kolaborasi di antara siswa IPS kelas 11, sebuah dimensi yang telah menerima perhatian terbatas. Berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip Kristen, penelitian ini menjelajahi penggunaan teknologi yang bertanggung jawab sambil mempertimbangkan aspek-aspek beragam dari kolaborasi siswa di era digital. Menurut hasil penelitian, saat diimplementasikan dengan bijak, CALL dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan kolaborasi siswa dengan menekankan infrastruktur teknologi, menanamkan nilai kolaborasi, mengintegrasikan penilaian oleh teman sebaya, menggabungkan elemen-elemen gamifikasi, dan terlibat dalam kegiatan CALL yang praktis dan berorientasi pada tugas. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar guru terlibat dalam pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan, mengintegrasikan penilaian oleh teman sebaya dan gamifikasi, serta mengembangkan kegiatan CALL yang berorientasi pada tugas.
