Abstract

Guru sebagai pemimpin seharusnya membimbing, mengarahkan, memotivasi, dan menyediakan fasilitas yang dibutuhkan siswa. Peran sebagai pemimpin ini bisa menjadi salah satu cara guru menjalankan misi Amanat Agung dan panggilannya untuk mempersiapkan siswa menjadi warga Kerajaan Allah melalui pengajaran yang dilakukannya. Faktanya, peranan ini tidak berjalan sesuai dengan harapan. Walaupun guru sudah menyediakan pembelajaran yang menarik, tetapi guru belum maksimal dalam menjalankan perannya sebagai pemimpin. Akibatnya, masih ada siswa yang belum benar-benar memahami instruksi yang diberikan oleh guru sehingga pemahamannya akan pembelajaran juga belum tepat. Masalah ini perlu diperhatikan secara serius sehingga penulis mengajukan penerapan metode picture and picture dalam dua kali pertemuan untuk memaksimalkan peran guru sebagai pemimpin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji peran guru sebagai pemimpin dalam penerapan metode picture and picture di pembelajaran Biblical Studies. Metode penelitian pada penulisan ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan kajian literatur dari penelitian terdahulu. Hasil penerapan model ini menunjukkan peningkatan pada implementasi peran guru sebagai pemimpin. Saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah melakukan penerapan metode ini secara kontinu untuk melihat keefektifan guru menjalankan perannya sebagai pemimpin. Kata Kunci: Guru sebagai pemimpin, metode picture and picture, biblical studies. / Teachers as leaders should guide, direct, motivate and provide the facilities students need. This role as a leader can be one way for teachers to carry out the mission of the Great Commission and their calling to prepare students to become citizens of the Kingdom of God through the teaching they do. In fact, this role did not go according to expectations. Even though the teacher has provided interesting learning, the teacher has not optimally carried out his role as a leader. As a result, there are still students who do not really understand the instructions given by the teacher so that their understanding of learning is also not correct. This problem needs to be taken seriously so the author proposes the application of the picture and picture method in two meetings to maximize the teacher's role as a leader. The aim of this research is to examine the role of teachers as leaders in implementing the picture and picture method in Biblical Studies learning. The research method in this writing is descriptive qualitative using literature reviews from previous research. The results of applying this model show an increase in the implementation of the teacher's role as a leader. Suggestions for further research are to apply this method continuously to see the effectiveness of teachers in carrying out their role as leaders.
