Abstract

Siswa merupakan makhluk sosial yang harus berelasi dan memiliki ketergantungan dengan orang lain. Dalam proses pembelajaran interaksi siswa menjadi aspek penting untuk mendukung tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran yang bermutu. Siswa merupakan peta dan teladan Allah diciptakan serupa dengan Allah, memiliki rasio dan hikmat Allah. Keterlibatan siswa merupakan bentuk peran siswa untuk memuliakan Allah. Berdasarkan hasil temuan observasi yang dilakukan penulis di kelas VIII di salah satu sekolah Kristen di Jakarta, interaksi siswa masih tergolong sangat rendah. Terlihat dalam tiga jam pelajaran hanya satu pertanyaan dari salah satu siswa. Disinilah peran guru diperlukan untuk menolong siswa meningkatkan interaksi siswa melalui penerapan metode kooperatif tipe think pair share. Metode ini memberikan peluang bagi siswa untuk dapat berinteraksi dalam kelompok. Tujuan penulisan karya tulis ini adalah memaparkan penerapan metode kooperatif tipe think pair share pada pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan interaksi siswa. Karya ilmiah ini disusun dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penerapan metode ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan interaksi siswa. Penulis menyarankan dalam penerapan metode ini, guru lebih memerhatikan penggunaan waktu, kegiatan siswa, dan langkah-langkah pembelajaran. Penulis juga menyarankan agar peneliti selanjutnya meneliti dengan mengaitkan aspek lainnya/Students are social creatures who must relate and depend on other people. In the learning process, student interaction is an important aspect to support the achievement of quality learning goals. Students are maps and representation of God, created to be like God, possessing God's reasoning and wisdom. Student involvement is a form of student role to glorify God. Based on the findings of observations made by author in class VIII at a Christian school in Jakarta, student interaction is still very low. It can be seen that in three hours of class there was only one question from one of the students. This is where the teacher's role is needed to help students increase student interaction through the application of think pair share type cooperative methods. This method provides opportunities for students to interact in groups. The purpose of writing this paper is to explain the application of the think pair share type cooperative method in learning to increase student interaction. This scientific work was prepared using qualitative descriptive methods. The application of this method has been proven to be able to increase student interaction. The author suggests that when applying this method, teachers pay more attention to the use of time, student activities and learning steps. The author also suggests that future researchers research by linking other aspects.
