Abstract

Keaktifan belajar siswa merupakan unsur penting dalam keberhasilan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan pada siswa kelas XI dan XII IPA di sebuah sekolah di Tangerang, ditemukan fakta yang menunjukkan rendahnya keaktifan belajar siswa. Fakta ini terlihat melalui perilaku siswa yang mengantuk, mengobrol dan tidur saat pembelajaran berlangsung. Tujuan penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana pengaruh pembelajaran kooperatif untuk mengupayakan keaktifan siswa di dalam kelas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan sumber data yang berdasarkan data portofolio. Sangat penting bagi seorang guru Kristen untuk menemukan suatu strategi pembelajaran yang tepat dan memulihkan untuk mengatasi berbagai permasalahan keaktifan belajar pada siswa. Adapun strategi yang dipilih pada penelitian ini adalah strategi pembelajaran kooperatif. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif dinilai efektif dalam mengupayakan keaktifan belajar siswa pada kelas XI dan XII IPA pada mata pelajaran kimia. Keaktifan belajar siswa tersebut diukur dari tercapainya empat indikator keaktifan belajar siswa. Saran dari penulis yaitu agar dapat mengembangkan penelitian ini dengan dukungan data yang akurat sehingga dapat semakin memperlihatkan keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif pada keaktifan belajar siswa./Students learning engagement is a important element in the successful learning. Based on research conducted on students in the 11th and 12th grade science at a school in Tangerang, facts have been discovered indicating low student learning engagement. This is evident through student behaviors such as sleepy, chatting and even sleeping during the learning process. The purpose of this final assignment is to examine the influence of cooperative learning in promoting student learning engagement in the classroom. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, utilizing data sourced from portfolio data. It is highly imperative for a Christian teacher to identify an effective and restorative teaching strategy to tackle the diverse issues concerning student engagement in learning. The strategy is choosen for this research is cooperative learning. The research results conclude that cooperative learning is assessed as effective in forstering student engagement in classes for the 11th and 12th-grade science students, particulary in the subject of chemistry. Student learning engagement is measured by the achievement of four indicators of student learning engagement. The author’s recommendation is to futher develop this research with the support of accurate data to demonstrate the effectiveness of the cooperative learning model in enhancing student learning engagement.
