Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang penulis lakukan pada salah satu sekolah swasta di Lampung pada kelas XII IPA dengan jumlah muridnya 7 orang. Pada saat melakukan pembelajaran pertama, terlihat murid kurang aktif pada saat pembelajaran fisika di kelas yang dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan strategi yang kurang sesuai. Hal tersebut mendorong penulis untuk melakukan penelitian, dengan tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menjelaskan mengenai penerapan strategi pembelajaran inkuiri dalam membantu meningkatkan keaktifan murid pada kelas XII IPA di salah satu sekolah swasta yang terdapat di Lampung. Dalam penerapan strategi pembelajaran inkuiri, murid menunjukkan berbagai indikator keaktifan seperti membaca, menulis, mendengarkan penjelasan guru, menggunakan media handphone untuk mencari data/informasi, berani menjawab dan mengajukan pertanyaan, berdiskusi, dan juga menyimpulkan pembelajaran. Sehingga pada pembelajaran kedua, penulis mendapatkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran inkuiri merupakan strategi pembelajaran yang menuntut keterlibatan murid dan berorientasi kepada murid, sehingga dapat membantu murid untuk lebih aktif di dalam kelas. Namun dalam penerapan strategi inkuiri ini, penulis mendapati kelemahan yang terjadi di dalam pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, penulis menyarankan untuk pembaca dapat mempertimbangkan dengan baik setiap kelemahan dari strategi ini karena dapat berpengaruh terhadap murid dan juga pembelajaran. / This research was conducted at a private school in Lampung with a class of twelvegrade science students, consisting of seven students. During the initial stages of the study, it was observed that the students lacked engagement during physics classes due to the inappropriate use of teaching strategies. This observation prompted the author to conduct this research, with the aim of explaining the implementation of inquiry-based learning strategies to enhance student engagement in a twelfth-grade science class at a private school in Lampung. In the application of the inquirybased learning strategy, students displayed various indicators of engagement, such as reading, writing, listening to the teacher's explanations, using mobile phones to seek data/information, confidently answering and asking questions, engaging in discussions, and summarizing their learning. As a result, during the second phase of the study, the author found that the inquiry-based learning strategy proved to be effective in promoting student engagement and was student-centered. However, it's worth noting that there were also weaknesses observed in the implementation of the 2 inquiry-based learning strategy during this study. Therefore, the author suggests that readers carefully consider these weaknesses, as they can have an impact on both students and the learning process.
