Abstract

HUBUNGAN ANTARA KEPATUHAN MINUM OBAT DENGAN KUALITAS HIDUP PASIEN EPILEPSI (xv + 35 halaman : 15 tabel, 3 bagan, 5 lampiran) Latar Belakang : Epilepsi adalah penyakit otak kronis yang tidak menular dan telah menyerang sekitar 50 juta orang di seluruh dunia. Individu yang hidup dengan epilepsi (ODE) sering kali dikaitkan dengan adanya keterbatasan dalam aspek fisik, kognitif, gangguan psikiatri dan konsekuensi psikososial. Kekambuhan atau bangkitan yang sering menyerang secara tiba-tiba dapat menyebabkan berbagai masalah seperti cidera, produktivitas yang menurun dan penurunan kemampuan kognitif. Pengobatan epilepsi bertujuan untuk menyembuhkan penyakit, tetapi jika penyebab tidak ditemukan maka tujuan dari pengobatan epilepsi adalah untuk memperbaiki kualitas hidup ODE. Pengobatan epilepsi dilakukan dalam jangka waktu yang lama dan mungkin hingga seumur hidup. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan kepatuhan dalam minum obat anti epilepsi (OAE). Masalah yang biasanya ditemukan pada proses pengobatan epilepsi adalah ketidakpatuhan dalam minum obat, bangkitan epilepsi yang tetap muncul, adanya kewajiban untuk kontrol secara rutin dan adanya efek samping dari konsumsi OAE. Tujuan Penelitian : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat korelasi antara kepatuhan minum obat dengan kualitas hidup pasien epilepsi. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik komparatif kategorik tidak berpasangan dengan pendekatan studi potong-lintang (cross-sectional). Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara pengisian lembar kuesioner MMAS-8 dan QOLIE-31. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 41 penderita epilepsi. Analisis data penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan SPSS 25. Hasil : Tidak ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan antara kepatuhan minum obat dengan kualitas hidup pasien epilepsi ditandai dengan nilai p > 0.05 Kata Kunci : Epilepsi, Kepatuhan minum obat, Kualitas hidup / THE CORRELATION OF MEDICATION ADHERENCE WITH QUALITY OF LIFE IN EPILEPSY (xv + 35 pages, 15 tables, 3 charts, 5 attachments) Background : Epilepsy is a chronic, non-communicable brain disease that affects around 50 million people worldwide. Individuals living with epilepsy (ODE) are often associated with limitations in physical, cognitive, psychiatric disorders and psychosocial consequences. Relapses or seizures that often strike suddenly can cause various problems such as injuries, decreased productivity and decreased cognitive abilities. Epilepsy treatment aims to cure the disease, but if no cause is found, the goal of epilepsy treatment is to improve the quality of life for ODEs. Epilepsy treatment is carried out over a long period of time and may last a lifetime. Therefore, adherence is needed in taking anti-epileptic drugs (OAE). Problems that are usually found in the process of treating epilepsy are non-adherence in taking medication, epileptic seizures that still appear, the obligation to routinely control and the presence of side effects from consuming OAE. Objectives : This study aims to see the correlation between medication adherence and the quality of life in epilepsy patients Methods : This study is an unpaired categorical comparative analytic with a cross-sectional study approach. Data were collected by filling out the MMAS-8 and QOLIE-31 questionnaires. The research was conducted on 41 people with epilepsy. Research data analysis was carried out using SPSS 25 Result : No significant relationship was found between medication adherence and the quality of life of epilepsy patients is characterized by a p value > 0.05 Keywords : Epilepsy, Medication adherence, Quality of life
